I have a smaller set of these Wera Micro drivers, as discussed in our best precision screwdrivers post, and find the handles to be absolutely top-notch. The only downside was that, for my purposes, the tip and style selection wasn’t broad enough to completely satisfy my needs. This is less true now than it was a few years ago. Wera’s Kraftform Micro screwdrivers have very comfortable handles, although they can take a little time to get used to, due to the unique shape. They’re quite nicely designed for precision tasks where you need a high level of control.

I’m looking at this set and thinking: when the heck am I going to need 0.9 mm hex and T5 screwdrivers? Some of the sizes I could definitely use, others maybe not so much. But I like the screwdriver selection. If I buy this set, maybe I’ll swap out those two sizes for #0 and T7 or T8 screwdrivers purchased separately.
The 2035/6 set that I bought 6 years ago comes with Phillips #00 and #0 bits. There are times when I wish it had #000. And I know that the T6 and 2mm hex, maybe even the 1.5mm hex, would come in handy for me.

Price-wise, $32 for 12 of these drivers is a very good deal. The 2035/6 set is currently priced at $27 on Amazon, and this 12-piece set is around $50. So even if you can’t use all of the screwdriver sizes that this set comes with, you’re not paying a lot for them.
I own Wiha micro hex driver sets, and have a bunch of #000 Phillips screwdriver filling that size requirement in my toolbox, but still find myself very tempted to buy one of these sets. That handy pouch and the sale price keeps me on the fence. Maybe this would still make for a decent to-go precision driver set.
I probably won’t bite, as it has 5 screwdriver sizes that overlap with the set I already own, and add in the 2 smallest Torx and hex drivers that I might not have a need for, and I don’t know if I can justify it despite the low price.
If you’ve been looking for a precision screwdriver set, you have through the rest of the day to decided whether this 12-piece set for $32 is the right choice for your needs and intended usage. If I didn’t already have precision screwdrivers aplenty, I would have snapped this deal up lickity split. I still might.

I probably won’t get the set- but it is great news that Wera has a 0.9mm driver! I usually carry a few of these at a time (Wiha now) since they strip and bend quite easily- and I just recently destroyed the last of my 0.9’s. I love the Wiha drivers, but always want to try something new.
(they are a fairly common (ish) set screw size on small motors and gears).

KC uses shady (or maybe just stupid) tactics to list what’s in stock.
“Check Availability” on a product page means not in stock. They apparently will ship partial orders but only if you ask them to and you can only do that if you know part of your order is out of stock. Availability status isn’t displayed in the cart or on placed orders.
When you ask them about this they will claim you are confused and that you should call if you value getting things in a timely manner. Nope, kc doesn’t understand internet retailing.

Regarding the stock status – It seems pretty straight forward to me, if you click the ” Check Availability” button, you know, to check if it is available, it straight up says it is not in stock. It would be nice if they would just display this instead of making you click a button but that doesn’t seem shady to me.
Even then I have ordered out of stock items from them before and still gotten them within a week if they list it as “USA inventory”
I guess I could see how this might aggravate some people, but as long as you half pay attention to what you are doing they give you all the information that you need to know if something is in stock or not, and how long it will take to get it if it is out of stock.

Good set, good price but hefty $11 shipping, which brings it price to $43. Which still cheaper than every day price of 50, but, unless you still don’t have a good set of wiha or mix and match, and you must have a set like this, then it would be a good buy.
