The new Wera Tools 2022 Advent Calendar, 136605, is finally available for purchase.
Wera Advent calendars are limited-edition tool sets that include a unique assortment of tools. The selection changes from year to year, and the tools often include a new, exclusive, or rare color scheme.
These tool kits are often quite varied, and can provide a good introduction to Wera’s broad lineup of hand tools.

They also, of course, appeal for collectors. This year’s set has a dark red and greyish green color scheme, as well as a white evergreen tree graphic that’s printed on the bit case and bottle opener.

The 2022 Wera Advent calendar tool kit comes with:
- Kraftform bit-holding screwdriver with built-in storage and 6 screwdriver bits
- 4x Joker double open-end wrenches with holder (metric 6 to 13mm)
- Bit-check with Rapidaptor bit holder and 10 screwdriver bits
- Bottle opener
All of the included screwdriver bits are described as being made from stainless steel.
Here are the included bit sizes:
- Phillips #1, #2
- Pozidriv #1, #2 (2)
- Torx T10, T15, T20, T25
- Hex-Plus 3, 4, 5, 6mm
- Slotted 5.5, 6.5 mm
And the 4 wrench sizes:
- 6.0 x 7.0 (112mm length)
- 8.0 x 9.0 (122mm length)
- 10 x 11 (137mm length)
- 12 x 13 (166mmmm length)
I have been satisfied with my Wera Advent calendar tool set purchases before, but I don’t buy every one. Some of them come with great general purpose tools that I can distribute to different kits and tool boxes.

Personally, I’m likely going to pass on this year’s set, only because I have plenty of Wera Kraftform screwdrivers already, and bit checks, although with standard steel and not stainless steel bits. I also have plenty of Wera bottle openers (and love them a lot), and probably wouldn’t put double-ended metric wrenches to much use.
You have some time to determine whether this year’s set will suit your needs and tastes, but don’t draw out the internal debate too long. Usually, once they sell out, they’re sold out forever.
Wera’s Advent calendars also make great gifts, especially for recipients unaware or less familiar with the brand.
Price: $84.57
At the time of this posting, KC Tool has the lowest price among USA dealers, at $76.11 (with coupon), and they include free ground shipping.
What About Ordering One from Europe?
You can also order the 2022 Advent calendar from international Amazon storefronts, although with hefty shipping fees that negate any savings.
I tend to add a bunch of things to international Amazon orders to help distribute shipping fees across multiple products. Wera Advent calendars are large boxy packages, and are likely to be required to ship individually, which will drive up costs.
In other words, you can try to see if you can buy it for less from overseas vendors, but it’s probably going to cost you less to snag it from KC Tool or another domestic vendor.
The 2022 Color Scheme

Prompted by Robert’s and W00dy’s comments, I sampled the color of the BitCheck to get a better sense of the color scheme.
It appears to be dark red with a greyish green or dark earthy-green type of color. The color sampling changes a bit, depending on where it’s taken in Wera’s images.

I’m on the fence about this one. I’m tempted to get it to try out the Joker stye wrenches. But every time I have purchased I wrench set that had any sort of special geometry like those, I have ended up returning or giving them away. I’ve seen lots of positive reviews on the Jokers, but it is hard for me to bite the bullet on them without actually trying them in hand (and on a fastener) first.

Alright so the wrenches. I’d do it mate. I bought them and I bought the ratcheting adjustables (Those are a godsend and I am so happy i found them) that they sell.
The feeling of just holding the wrench you can feel the quality of work that went into them. They hold up well in my field of work, and I was honestly surprised that i genuinely like holding and using their wrenches over my Snap-On, husky, craftsman, Cornwell or even my gear wrench sets.
I will say that I ran into one spot where I actually needed a wrench with the 15 degree curve but I was working on installing a planetary gear to a train axle and the planetary is unforgiving as a whole(it’s actually why i bought the adjustables Wera sells and dang it I can’t explain how good they are at biting down onto bolts even the 30 degree slits where it bites onto the corners.)
Give the wrenches a shot they definitely have my money and I can’t wait to get their Zyklops speed ratchet to test it out!!
MM
The Joker open-end wrenches are top-tier quality for sure, I consider them on the same level as Snap-On, Stahlwille, Facom, or MAC. They are no gimmicks, they are certainly pro mechanic quality. Like you said, just hold one in your hand and the quality is evident.
As for the self-adjustable Jokers, I bought the full set of those last year. I like them a lot and mine have been trouble-free. But I will say those do not radiate the same kind of quality that the open-end Jokers do. They’re nice, they’re better than average quality, but they’re not 10/10.
Rog
Eww, that color combo.
ZS
It’s Christmas themed if you hate the colour combo get the normal versions of these tools from Wera which would be cheaper too since they are not a limited special edition run

I’ve come to the conclusion that I deserve an advent calendar after all the years of those Lego calendars for the kids, and Daddy gets shafted…it might be nice to have a little fun myself.
Not like we all don’t have tools we don’t need laying about everywhere…and I get the chance to try out those wrenches.

As a lego and wera tool ‘aficionado’, I indulge in both sets! #starwars if you are asking.. #50yoKid4eva

Do it. My wife spoiled me with one a few years ago it and it was more fun than I should admit. Fair warning – the tools are great and have made me a bit snobbish in purchases since.
Dhabih Hendershot
My wife is a big advent calendar person. The kids get Lego advent calendars, she gets a make-up-themed one, and she gets the Wera one for me each year. I will say I love Wera tools anyway and the advent calendars have fun tools that you might not try otherwise. Last year it was screwdrivers and it had some I would not have tried otherwise. The days when you open a socket or a screwdriver tip are not as fun as the days when you get a full tool, but the overall experience is a lot of fun. My wife has tried many calendars for me over the years, including hot sauces and scotches, the Wera calendar is something that has become the yearly item I look forward to. Give it a try I don’t think you will be let down.

I am in the exact same boat. I love their advent calendars but I am going to pass this year. I already have the ratcheting version of that screw driver. I have a bottle opener from a prior year. I have plenty of bit storage things (I actually like like Wiha’s bit selector better) and I really don’t need another set of metric wrenches. Add in the horrible color scheme and its a hard pass for me.

If this hits a sale price I’ll jump on a few again. Full price is beyond my gift budget
Adam
Check you email Stuart. I emailed a month back about this. Figured you were waiting for other x-mas promo’s to start before posting.
Still trying to get last year’s! Dang me for missing that one.
Stuart
I’m sorry – a lot of people emailed in, and I wasn’t able to respond to all of them in a timely manner.
KC Tool first listed the Wera 2022 Advent calendar in March!!
It was listed then, but you couldn’t actually buy it.
It didn’t make sense for me to post about it 6, 4, even 1 month early, and so I decided to hold off until it was available for purchase.
I DO still have a Post-It up to remind me of your request for 2021 Advent calendar sourcing. I haven’t seen it back in stock, and at this point I’m not very hopeful.
The 2019 kit appeared in mid-2021, and on sale for Prime Day, but I’m guessing that was a one-off occurrence and that the 2021 sold out for good. (https://toolguyd.com/wera-2019-advent-tool-calendar-deal/ )

Are you looking for this? https://www.adamstarpntool.com/product/wera-24-piece-advent-calendar-an-awesome-tool-junky-christmas-gift-idea/
Says it’s available from them at a few different stores.
Adam
Absolutely is. Sadly I’m south of the northern border. I’ll have to see if I know anyone that can smuggle me one.
TomD
Anyone have a picture of the doors? I assume they’d work from year to year …
Jared
Pretty good this year in my opinion. The pieces form “complete”, albeit limited, subsets.
This isn’t something I would keep together as a kit, but they’re useful tools.
fred
Wondering if KC Tools will also have the Hazet and Gedore (Red) Advent Calendars for 2022 ?

Ball_bearing
Funny how all 3 sets complement each other. But you will end up with way too many insert bits.
MM
Speaking of Hazet, I remember that last year they had a really cool tool kit in their advent calendar: a ratchet with a few open-end wrenches that could fit into the ratchet handle. I thought that was a really neat idea, I wonder if it went anywhere and if Hazet is ever going to expand on the idea?
Robert
On my iPad that main color seems green rather than grey.
W00dy
Stuart it is not red with grey. But red with dark green.
I bought it and have it here, its hard to judge on the product photos online.
I think grey would have been a nicer colour scheme. But hey it’s a Christmas colour 😉
Bought it mainly for the wrenches, nice small set for in my ‘on the go toolkit’
Stuart
Could be?
On my screens, it looks maybe like an earthy grey? I can see a shade of green if I’m looking for it.
Maybe the contrast is throwing me off.
Either way, thank you both!! I’ll work on a color swatch.
Ball_bearing
This image from their website better shows the color I guess.

MM
It looks dark green to me too. Though unless any of us are using a calibrated monitor (I’m not) this is all speculation. Monitors/TVs are not very accurate unless carefully set up, and I doubt even 1/10th of 1% of people bother to do that; I know I don’t.
Stuart
I calibrate mine on occasion, but the color doesn’t look all that different on other devices such as my smartphone.
I think that the device brightness might be what’s causing confusion.
The green stands out a little more when surrounding background is less bright, such as mobile devices with auto brightness.
On a desktop, each image takes up around double the entire screen size of a large smartphone. Calibration could affect things, but I think the brightness of the white background is at least as influential on color perception.
MM
Oh, thinks like brightness or background can affect perception too. The point is that nobody should every take what they see on an electronic screen as accurate when it comes to color. Whether or not it’s calibrated properly is just one of many variables here. Size of the screen, ambient lighting, it all matters.
Stuart
Agreed!
My screen is calibrated to ensure accurate-as-possible images whenever I process images or have to color-correct RAW photos.
Most smartphones and mobile devices seem to have high color accuracy, but even then brightness, contrasting background colors, and potentially other factors can SKU things.
That’s on top of the fact that these images could be renders or photos that themselves don’t perfectly reflect the tools’ true colors.
Scott ALKB
On my pricey fruit-company monitor (used by the design industry) it is also a dark green.
Brian
That is not at all an appealing color combo to me.
Weldor
They really missed an opportunity to use their signature Wera green with red (for the Christmas theme).
I think it would have looked great!
Frank
Is there a normal version of the 4 double open end wrenches in the plastic holder? I could go for that.
Craig Wiener
My youngest son is in the military and stationed in Germany. I ordered this a few weeks ago from Amazon.de and was delivered to him. My wife is currently visiting him.
I will have my kit on Saturday when my wife gets home, I bought this last year too and will again next year if he is still in Germany.
Matty D
Cool idea but those colors dont resonate for many. I never liked Xmas ugly sweaters…

KCTools are already sold out and reporting unable to restock
Amazon currently listing it as unavailable
Stuart
Thanks for the update!
If all else fails, it still looks to be in stock overseas, and there might be other stocking US dealers. I checked other typical Wera dealers, and they’re all sold out too.
Adam
Still a few available here. Use code HOLIDAY for 10% off.

Stuart
I don’t know anything about that store, but I checked there too and it said “preorder.”
Tom
Amazon link you gave is now 20% off. I just got one ordered. Wera 136605 Advent Calendar 2022
Stuart
Thanks! Good luck!
Right now it looks to be sold by and shipped from “ivaluemart,” which doesn’t look to be a Wera dealer.
Adam
They just sent me an email saying the calendar shipped today!
I never worry if they offer PayPal as an option
Adam
Mine arrived today! Box was in perfect condition (2020, not so much).
While it might be a shade darker than ideal Christmas green, it’s not bad. The bit check holder green plastic is slightly lighter than the other tools I’m noticing.
The bottle opener has a Xmas tree where a driver size would be located.
I did forgot that this was a stainless steel set of tools & bits, which is probably why I want to say this year was a little less glamourous / over priced.

I made a post about all (the ones I could find) of this year’s tool advent calendars on the tools subreddit a while back for those of you that are interested. There are Hazet, Wera, Gedore Red, KWB, KS Tools, Draper Tools, Sealey (2020 version yet again for the 3rd time).
Gary
$84.98 including shipping from Amazon.co.uk, just ordered. Dollar/pound rate helps – the kit is only about 55GBP, then another 22 for shipping, but comes out right around the KC Tool (without code) price. Works for me.
Art
I’m crazy. I delayed buying due to my trip to Oktoberfest and missed out … had it shipped to our hotel here in Germany instead. Crazy to rely on Amazon during vacation, but not too shabby.
J. Newell
I don’t know if anyone’s going to see a question posted on a post this old, but here goes. I can’t find the exact version of Joker wrench (6005) on Wera’s website (or anywhere else). Does anyone know anything about the 6005 model – are these some sort of special release ahead of a general introduction and marketing push?
Stuart
From what I can tell, these look to be specially made for the Advent calendar.
The other Wera double-ended wrenches cover different sizes https://www.kctool.com/double-open-ended-wrenches/?brand=43&rfsn=5802283.d413ea5 .
The calendar versions also have 12pt-style open ends.
Wera has not announced new wrenches of that style, and so they could just be specials for the calendar. Maybe they will be regular line items in the future, but I haven’t seen any indication of this yet.
