Worx QBit Cordless Screwdriver

Worx’s QBit multi-bit cordless screwdriver is aimed at DIYers who can never find the bits they need. It features a 6-slot screwdriver bit cartridge, offset head for easier close-quarters access, LED work light, and built-in 4V lithium-ion battery.

Bits are stored inside removable and swappable revolver-style bit cartridges. Users can load the drivers with the included bits, or replace them with bits of their choosing.

There are currently two SKUs, one with a single 6-bit cartridge, and one with two 6-bit cartridges (12 bits).

Worx QBit Cordless Screwdriver Slide Open

  • no-load speed 230 RPM
  • 1/4″ hex chuck accepts 1″ insert bits
  • 3 Nm torque (~26.55 inch-lbs)
  • 3-hour charger
  • 4V 1.5 Ah battery

Worx is marketing the new driver as a semi-automatic screwdriver in the USA, and QBit screwdriver in the UK and EU.

Worx QBit Cordless Screwdriver Bit Change

The QBit concept itself is pretty neat, but it’s not unique. The similarly designed Bosch PSR Select features a 12-bit cartridge and grearer torque. Right now the PSR is a EU-only product, but hopefully it will one day come to the USA under the Skil label.

Nice idea of course. I personally can not recommend any WORX products at this point in time. I have had one of their cordless string trimmers that I have been unhappy with string feed system. Poorly designed and implemented. Customer service was just OK but then completely shut me off. Lost this consumer due to their consumer service philosophy. Good luck folks but buyer beware !

Show me ONE string trimmer that works as described. Show me one that automatically feeds the string like advertised. Personally, I do not have a Worx String Trimmer, I am simply comparing it as a trimmer to other trimmers I have had in the past 15 years.
When anyone buys a string trimmer, no matter what company, EVEN Craftsman, you better buy a big bottle of aspirin for the headaches the trimmer will give you.

Readers should take note that it is strongly suspected that this comment was posted by someone affiliated with the Worx/Rockwell/Positec company at their Suzhou, China headquarters.

Bought one of these at the weekend but doesn’t always work when you squeeze the trigger, taking it back tomorrow, hopefully exchange for one that works because I love the design.

    Just bought the qbit.
    Brilliant concept.
Got 12 bits, and accessories. £39.99
One minor negative, no clutch, , therefore. Can over run posidrive or phillips type screws.

I have the trimmer doesn’t last at all. I have the jaw saw and it is fine, but not as a pole saw too heavy. The rapid fire drill worked well until now it will not lock in place when you push onto a screw for a license plate it pushes back inside.
    Not worth the $45

Did you manage to find a supplier for your worx screwdriver? I need one myself so would be pleased if you reply.
