Worx WG507 Blower Vac Recall

Worx has issued a recall for nearly 25,000 of their WG507 corded electric blower vacs. There is a defect where the grounded and ungrounded wiring in the unit could be reversed, which would post a shock hazard to users.

No incidents or injuries were reported.

According to the recall notice, these blower vacs were sold between Jan 2015 and May 2015 at Menards and Walmart stores, for about $40. Only very specific serial numbers are affected, so check your tool and the recall notice to see if action is required.

Affected serial number ranges: 201418000134 through 201418018263, 201418018268 through 201418021382, 201511000379 through 201511001397. Refer to the recall notice, as the serial number ranges might change.

If you’ve got one of these Worx blower vacs and it’s affected by the recall, stop using it and return it to the place of purchase for a replacement or full refund.

In case you missed it, certain other Homelite and OWT ~$40 blower vacs were previously recalled.
