We’re huge fans of Mechanix branded mechanics’/work gloves – they fit well, last long, and feel great. While we haven’t yet tried Mechanix’ cold weather gloves, they’re currently on sale at Amazon for 20%-off, so we’ll give them a try.

Mechanix’ cold weather gloves are equipped with concealed stitching, heavyweight fleece insulation, and a wind resistant lining.

These gloves are normally priced at $17-18, so after discount they’ll run you $13.60-14.40. This promo is only on Mechanix cold weather gloves sold directly by Amazon, but that also makes them eligible for free super saver shipping. The promo ends 12/31/09.

Mechanics Cold Weather Work Gloves, available in:
Small
Medium
Large
X-Large

Note: It looks like the medium sized gloves have sold out and won’t be shipped for 3-4 weeks.

I like Mechanix gloves too. They are one of the few glove makers that offers sizes small and x-small.

Re: cold weather gloves, I just don’t see how can you not sacrifice dexterity?

I am sure that some dexterity is lost, but it seems to be fair trade-off: dexterity for cold-weather protection and preserved sensation!
