Over at Amazon, today’s deal of the day focusing on Amazon’s top-selling tools of 2015. They say the discounts are up to 69%, which we’re not seeing, but some of the tools are being heavily discounted.
Some of these tools were “lightning deals” this holiday season, such as the Dewalt laser distance measurer, and those Dremel rotary tool sets were both in a “deal of the day.” I suppose that’s how these tools made it onto the “top-sellers” list along with DIYer favorites.

Some of these deals are quite good, others are a little ho-hum. That Porter Cable air compressor is on sale for $104, but you can still find it at some retail stores as a $99 holiday special.

Depending on what sorts of tools your are looking to purchase, I have dealt with the following sites and find them to be reputable – and good places to do some comparison shopping. As Toolguyd has pointed out – some of the deals are ending soon. Here are some sources you might look at:
Tools Plus, ToolUp, International Tool, Chads Toolbox, ToolBarn, Coastal Tool, Hartville Tool, ToolNut. Burns Power Tools, OhioPowerTool and Dynamite Tool. There are also woodworking focused sources like Lee Valley, Rockler, and Woodcraft. Automotive tools seem to have lots of sources like Tooltopia, Summit Racing, JBToolSales and Pace Performance.

Any good deals on self-leveling line lasers? I’d been eyeing a Bosch GCL25 but they appear to have increased in price. I vaguely remember new units going for around $250 and refurbs going for under $200 around a year ago.
