Amazon has a New Dewalt Mechanics Tool Set Deal

Amazon has a new Black Friday deal on this Dewalt 108pc mechanics tool set, DWMT73801.

The Dewalt tool set features a selection of 1/4″ and 3/8″ drive tools in a compact case, plus some extras.

This tool set features:

(2) ratchets
(2) extensions
(1) adapter)
(16) 1/4″ drive sockets
(8) 1/4″ deep sockets
(15) 3/8″ drive sockets
(8) 3/8″ deep sockets
28pc hex key set
(1) screwdriver bit holder
(5) nut driver bits
(22) screwdriver bits and accessories

It’s a fairly compact tool kit, with about half of the 108 pieces being ratchet and socket-type tools and accessories, and the other half being general purpose.

The sockets are split between SAE and metric sizes.

Generally, Dewalt mechanics tools are decent – this could be a handy portable tool set or a lower priced starter kit for beginners.

Can you review a basic affordable 3/8 socket kit? One without all the little add ons, but including SAE and Metric. I have lots of sockets with no case, living in a bag. I don’t want rails, just an affordable small case with the basics. I like the Milwaukee, but for the limited time I use sockets, I’d rather spend around $30. And maybe a small 1/4” set recommendation?

  Under $100 and under $50 especially is consumer tool space where high part counts tend to sell well.
