Milwaukee M18 FORGE Battery and Charger Combo with Free Bonus Deal

Readers have been asking if there would be any Black Friday or holiday season deals on Milwaukee’s top of the line FORGE batteries. The answer is yes, and here’s the best one.

There are a bunch of Milwaukee FORGE battery deals right now, where you get a free 8Ah battery with the purchase of a tool, combo kit, or bundle.

With this deal, you buy an M18 Rapid Charger and FORGE 12Ah battery, and you get a FREE FORGE 8Ah battery. The price for all 3 is $299.

As a reminder, these are Milwaukee’s best and highest performing M18 batteries, featuring tabless Li-ion cells, durable housings, and cooler faster charging (with the dual bay simultaneous charger).

Here’s a breakdown of what you get:

Rapid Charger: retails for $99
FORGE 8Ah Battery: retails for $229
FORGE 12Ah Battery: retails for $279

Even if you don’t need the charger, this is the best deal on a pair of FORGE 8Ah and 12Ah batteries.

There are two listings for the same deal, with both at the same $299 price.

Should you buy this deal? Months ago, after last year’s holiday season promo ended, someone asked if there would be any FORGE battery deals. There haven’t been any notable deals since then. If you’re looking to buy these tabless Li-ion batteries, this is the best deal I’ve seen since the last holiday season promos a year ago.

For further context, Home Depot has a Milwaukee starter kit with Rapid Charger and 8Ah battery for $279. With the deal discussed above, you also get a FORGE 12Ah battery for $20 more. They also have one each of both batteries for $499. $299 seems to be an excellent price for the deal bundle.

There are more M18 FORGE deals. I’ll post about some of them separately, but figured a quick rundown might be helpful.

Milwaukee M18 FORGE 8Ah Battery Free Deal

Home Depot has other Milwaukee M18 deals where you can get a free FORGE 8Ah battery with qualifying purchases. They all look to be really good values right now, be sure to check them out.

You might also be interested in this other deal, where you buy a Milwaukee M18 dual bay simultaneous super charger with a FORGE 8Ah battery and get a second FORGE 8Ah battery for FREE.

The Super Charger, which provides the fastest charging times for Milwaukee M18 FORGE batteries, retails for $249 by itself. This freebie bonus bundle gives you the same charger and 2x XC 8Ah batteries for $349.

Ending 11/4/25, Acme Tools has a coupon code that knocks an extra $50 off the price. Thanks, Big Richard!

I keep hoping that Dewalt will do a similar deal with their highest performing DCB615, and DCB612 batteries.

The closest thing they have currently is buy the DCB609C kit (9Ah FlexVolt battery and 8A fan-cooled charger) for $329, and you can select an additional 9Ah for “free”.

      https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20V-60V-MAX-FLEXVOLT-Lithium-Ion-9-0Ah-Battery-and-Charger-Starter-Kit-DCB609C/335106901

Not quite as good as the Forge deal as you are only getting 18Ah versus 20Ah, and it costs $30 more. But the FV batteries do carry a little more of a premium due to the cross compatibility.

Thanks! Added it to the post above. I wonder if it’s a mistake – coupon codes usually remove free tools, batteries, and other promo inclusions.

Was on the fence while reading Stuart’s post but the extra $50 savings at Acme was enough to convince me

Thank you. Saved $107 over HD. By the time I sell the 8.0’s and chargers it will bring the 12.0 batteries to a quite reasonable price.

The one with super charger doesn’t say anything about a free one when I click on it.

On my phone I had to click the “see full product details” button, then the free 8ah Forge shows up

Sorry, I don’t know why Home Depot hides that on mobile devices. Here’s what I’m seeing:

        Stuart,

It’s not just on mobile that your links go to a “product summary” page with a “view full product details” button. I’m getting the same thing running Firefox on windoze.

That’s really weird. I checked on my phone – they show the full view if I’m signed in, and a shorter page when I’m not.

I’ve seen that before, but never realized it could be dependent on being signed in. I wonder if there’s more to it. Do you see the same or the full page view after you sign in your Home Depot account (if you have one)?

It does the same when I open Home Depot links from a Google search in an incognito browser window.

Thanks! I checked it multiple times, somehow I still managed to get 11/04 wrong. *fixed*! Maybe I was too preoccupied checking to ensure the discount actually stacked with the free battery.

What do people think is the better option? The dual bay charger w/ the 2x 8ah or the 12ah and 8ah with the single bay charger? I get “everyone has their own needs” – but, is there any sort of general consensus? The dual bay charger would seem like a nice to have, but at the moment, I’m not generally waiting on a battery to charge to keep going. So, the lower price and the 12ah are more appealing to me, I think. Anyone want to talk me into the dual bay deal instead?

      Solution: get both.

The dual bay charger is excellent, and is a boost to FORGE batteries that allows fast cycling time due to the “Cool Cycle” feature.

If these are your first FORGE batteries and you need the 12Ah capacity, go with that bundle. If you have a bunch, the dual bay super charger is an excellent deal.

If you buy a new tool a few months from now, it might come bundled with a FORGE battery. The dual bay Super Charger will always be a separate purchase, or at least I’m very confident about that.

The 12Ah Forge battery is great, but personally I prefer the 8Ah for a broader selection of tools. The 12Ah lets certain tools perform at their best.

Acme sold out of the 12ah kit deal before I managed to checkout.
So – no flash deal on that for me today. Guess I’ll get the 8ah kit deal. Thanks!

It depends on what you’re waiting for most commonly.

I have so many rapid chargers but I need dual batteries at the same time for the lawnmower.

A dual bay with 2x 12ah would be a no brainer, but for my use case I go with 2x this deal, and the single chargers, and just have four connected, two for the 12ahs and two for the 8ahs, when the 12s need recharging, I pop in the 8ahs and get some more done.

Will these batteries fit on older Milwaukee 18 volt tools

There could be some exceptions, but not any more than with the previous High Output 8Ah and 12Ah batteries. If I recall correctly, Milwaukee had a replacement or repair program for the very few compatibility exceptions where the batteries physically couldn’t fit.

They did (and perhaps still do, I last used it about two years ago for a light that physically couldn’t fit the 12ah).
