I’m thinking about tie 10% off Acme deal – but will probably wait until later in the year to see if they up the ante.
I did take advantage of their 15% off deal that Stuart posted about on 8/20 – and already received the Milwaukee 3469-20 pipe cutter that I ordered for a Xmas gift.
I took a peek at it, and it is indeed unique. The blade that it comes with (Milwaukee part # 48-40-4062) is an oddball sized 115mm diameter – 24tooth with a 12mm bore. I’m guessing that this is intentional so that users are not tempted to replace it with an aftermarket blade.

I really dislike the m12 pipe cutter (not sure if that is the one you are referring to). I returned the first one and got a second. It will beautifully cut 3/4″ EMT (I am not a plumber) and almost never cut the 1/2″ emt. I’ve moved on to a bandsaw for my projects involving EMT but I am looking for a m12 bandsaw deal – BAD!

As an octogenarian ex-plumber, I refer to the M12 tool as a tubing cutter. For me – pipe is thick-walled stuff (wall thickness denoted ny pipe schedule #’s)- made of things like red brass, steel, black iron, and galvanized iron – mostly joined with NPT screwed fittings, welded couplings, bolted flanges – or in larger sizes with something like a Victaulic coupling.
Soon after it first came out – in 2009 – we got some samples of the M12 cutter 2471-20 and passed them around for the guys to try. It seemed that there were only complaints – no incentives to buy more. I see that there is another M12 model 2479-20 for coper tubing from 1-1/4 to 2 inch.
The tool I’m referring to is a cordless saw blade cutter for black iron pipe (1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch nominal – up to schedule 80) that Milwaukee introduced early this year:

The M12 caulk gun must have sold out quick – I have been waiting since late-Jan to see another deal on that, and this one looks really good. Jan was $159 for tool + 2.5Ah HO battery, today is $129 for tool + (2) 3.0Ah batteries.
I got the Ryobi as a part of this years Ryobi days, so not too sad about the Milwaukee selling out. But I’m sure the M12 version is pounds lighter than Ryobi 18V.. for me it won’t see enough use to really matter.

Is there a major difference between 12v Fuel and 12V brushless Milwaukee tools? I always thought fuel meant brushless but now i see they have brushless that are not fuel.

Yes, to my knowledge!
Fuel is top-tier because it has a brushless motor communicating with the battery via the electronic board.
Non-Fuel options may come with either a brushless or brushed motor, but they do not have that feature.

Fuel is top-performing. Some categories have brushless but not Fuel, presumably because a higher performance or more featured model might one day exist.

Install driver for $179 with 4 batteries seems like a good deal. I’ve been looking to get some fresh m12 batteries into the lineup. The older ones are definitely showing their age as some are the original 1.5ah that are like 16 years old now or something.

HD’s SBOTD includes the DeWalt 735 planer with stand for $700, supposedly about 25% off list. The 735 is kind of a standard, seems like.

Not a bad price given the current pricing situation (tariffs) and that we’re 3 months away from Black Friday.
I believe we saw the same bundle for as low as $649, which I don’t think is fair to expect to see right now or even for the holiday season.

That 18 gauge Metabo nailer at Lowes for $39 is a good deal too. I got the same one on sale for about $70 last year. I believe it’s a closeout model, and the only difference between it and the newer model is the newer one has a built in blower nozzle. But the older one works fine, though it’s loud.
