Makita XT506S Cordless Power Tool Combo Kit Holiday Season 2018 Special Buy

Someone recently asked me about whether we’ll see any other Makita cordless power tool combo kits on sale for Black Friday 2018. So, I’ve been on the lookout for more Makita combo kit deals.

Today I came across the Makita XT506S 5-tool combo kit, which comes with a drill, impact driver, Xenon bulb flashlight, blower, reciprocating saw, (2) 3.0Ah batteries, a charger, and carrying bag.

It’s priced at $299.

This has all the markings of a Black Friday or Holiday “special buy,” to me.

  • XFD10Z drill/driver
  • XDT11Z impact driver
  • XRJ04Z recipricating saw
  • DUB182Z blower
  • DML185 Xenon flashlight
  • 2x BL1830B 3.0Ah batteries
  • DC18SD charger
  • Tool bag

This kit is quite a bit different from last year’s $299 Makita cordless combo kit, model XT505. Compared to that kit, this kit has a drill/driver instead of a hammer drill, a blower instead of a circular saw, and a [slower] standard charger instead of the typical fast charger.

Price: $299

My gut feeling tells me that we could see better pricing on this XT506S Makita 5-tool cordless combo kit. There are a couple of cost-cutting changes made to the kit, and so if I were to guess, I would say that we could potentially see a price lower than the $299 it’s currently listed for. If I were to guess wildly, I’d say maybe it’ll be a Black Friday 2018 special for $249. To me, that would be a “HOT BUY” price for what you get.

I just saw the 36v saw with 4, 5.0ah batteries deal is back. I missed the track saw deal last year that might have been up there as one of the greatest tool deals ever. I think there was a similarly awesome Flexvolt tablesaw deal around the same time. Those are the types of deals that make people jump platforms.
