Thanks to Cory for the heads-up!

While this is a very good combo kit for the money, it might be worth looking at some of Bosch’s other drill and impact driver kits, such as the CLP234-181L combo ($220 via Amazon), which comes with Bosch’s 1/2″ drill/driver, an impact, and (2) L-Boxx tool cases. It’s only $41 more, but you get a lot for the upgrade.

This is a very good kit. This has served my retired father for many years now. He has put it through its paces.

for $41 more, the combo at Amazon is much better. The drill with it is a reasonable improvement over the drill included in this combo.

My CLP234-181L arrived a few days ago and I’m quite happy with it.

The two pack of 4.0ah 18v Bosch batteries has dropped from $138 to $124 and is eligible for the bosch promo as well. Would be a nice upgrade at $99.

I’m sure we’re going to see a flood of these once better to best units “on sale” as Bosch and everyone else eventually roll out their brushless units. They’re not for everyone but they are the new gold standard. And for a short while will be priced somewhat accordingly.
    No question at all.
    Great site! Carry on.
