Bosch’s GLM 20 Laser Distance Measuring Tool is Now $27! (12/13/19)

Bosch GLM 20X Laser Distance Measuring Tool

Bosch’s GLM 20 65′ laser distance measuring tool is now on sale for $27!

I bought 3 at the $30 price for ToolGuyd giveaway purposes, and at this new price of $27, I’m tempted to buy 3 more. Amazon has a purchase limit in place, and so I couldn’t order any more than the 3 units from them directly.

The $27 price is offered via a 3rd party “Fulfulled by Amazon” seller. Amazon’s direct price is still $30, although I’ve watched it fluctuate between $29 and $30 since my deal post a couple of days ago.

I’ve never heard of this 3rd party seller before – Pro-Distributing – but the deal is Fulfilled by Amazon, and so they’ll back it. Maybe they scored a warehouse clear-out of these units and are undercutting the $30 special buy price to move them faster.

Here’s my other deal post where you can read about why this is a good LDM and a good deal at $30. At $27, which I believe is the lowest price I have ever seen this or any other Bosch laser distance measuring tool sell for (at least in recent memory), the deal is even better.

Deal Price: $27

Buy Now via Amazon (Sold by 3rd party seller and Fulfilled by Amazon)

I can’t tell if supplies are limited. If it sells out, it’s still a great buy at $30.

If you’ve been hesitating about buying one, is the extra savings enough to nudge you off the fence?

No, it has a measurement hold and 3 unit choices, and that’s it.

I have a spectra unit and it’s great to quickly measure off a building. Anyone who is in the flooring business should have one.

I have the old version without the backlight and I think I’m going to upgrade just for that reason.

It says 1/8 accuracy but it measures in 1/16ths and is accurate enough for running baseboard and other finish trim. Just an fyi for those that are scared off by the 1/8inch accuracy written on the package.. perhaps it’s only 1/8 in 65ft but shorter lengths more accurate? Either way it works for running base

      Resolution and accuracy are different.

It’s my understanding that, with that accuracy, they’re saying that if you take a group of measurements at its 65′, they should all be within ±1/8″ of the real value.

Usually the accuracy is for the max range or other specified range if other than the max.

      Here’s the manual: https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/ocsmedia/2610041695_0216_GLM20.pdf

The accuracy of the distance measurement can be checked as follows:

      – Select a permanent measuring section with a length of approx. 3 ft to 33 ft (1 m to 10 m); its length must be precisely known (e.g. the width of a room or a door opening). The measuring distance must be indoors; the target surface for the measurement must be smooth and reflect well.

      – Measure the distance 10 times after another.

The deviation of the individual measurements from the mean value must not exceed ±1/8” (±3.0mm). Log the measurements, so that you can compare their accuracy at a later point of time.
