Bosch’s GTS1031 10-inch table saw, which we reviewed favorably over a year ago, is currently on sale at Amazon for $320 with free shipping. This saw is a nice choice for contractors who don’t have the budget or space for larger portable saws, and is a solid choice for DIYers as well since it stores away so nicely.
The regular price seems to be about $370 these days, so if you buy now you save maybe $50.

If you have a little more space but not much greater a budget, Dewalt’s DW745 table saw is another great option, for only $20 more via Amazon.

Having the Dewalt DW745, the specs make it seem like the Bosch is a better deal regardless. Both come from companies that make quality products, but the Bosch has a few extra inches of rip capacity (18 vs 16) and can accept dados, which you cannot do on the Dewalt. For me, the two biggest drawbacks with purchasing a compact table saw is your rip capacity and not being able to use dados, and the Bosch solves both of these.
