Bosch is finally getting ready to announce their new L-Boxx Contractor tool box system in the USA!
Here’s everything we know, from the World of Concrete 2026 media kit they provided:
There will be an L-Boxx3ST 3pc combo, with rolling tool box, medium tool box, and small tool box, models L-Boxx Contractor 170, 322, and 476.

The rolling tool box will have a fully telescoping handle, allowing it to fit underneath a pickup truck bed cover.
Features include:
- L-Boxx compatible
- Robust wheel
- Integrated handle with front detaching latch
- Accessory rails (for what look to be S-hooks of a sort)
They also provided an image of this L-Boxx Contractor crate.
That’s everything that Bosch USA has shared with us so far.
I’ve got a lot of questions. Where will it be sold? When? Price? Internal dividers or organization options? What will the vertical accessory rails be used for? Will the drawer tool boxes they showed off in Europe be available in the USA?
Hopefully we’ll know more about this and some of the other tools Bosch sent us teasers about.

The Bosch EU launch pricing was concerningly high, which is why I’ve been very eager to learn the USA pricing.
In other news, Bosch USA sent over a PR about their Super Bowl 2026 commercial, where Guy Fieri undergoes some kind of make-under. The commercial will show “the transformational power of Bosch in your home or on the jobsite.”

Rather than a PR about a television commercial, I sure wish they had sent you a PR with information about their new product, including the details you mentioned! Maybe it’s just me but I really don’t understand Bosch’s marketing department.

I’m not convinced their N.American arm HAS a marketing department. I sorta suspect they’re just using an LLM or something and then a distracted exec looks them over and says “eh, that one looks good enough, run with it!”

Their media efforts have been very appreciated in recent years, and if I’m being honest I think they’ve improved compared to a few years ago.
As for strategy, Bosch has run into challenges greatly impacting their automotive division, and I think they’ve been on a campaign to boost familiarity in the USA.
Bosch’s many different business segments seem to be fragmented, with the Super Bowl commercial – last year’s at least, and from the sound of it this year too – seemingly designed to boost brand familiarity in the USA. If so, I presume it’s to grow the other business segments in this market especially since it is expected their automotive segment will continue to decline for a few more years.

I own a Bosch Belt sander. It works. But it never came with storage and a corded belt sander isn’t easy to neatly carry/store along with spare belts.
I had several VWs. The first was a Passat. The Bosch coil packs ruined my experience with VW. But I persisted and “put it behind me” with a GTi Golf, which I leased. It was fun but the low-profile tires/rims got damaged easily (NJ/PA potholes and expansion joints). Then I got the best little car, a VW Golf TDi. Which rewarded me with 52mpg (diesel) and no end to passing torque. Alas, that ended badly with the DieselGate and Winterkorn’s “rogue engineers”. Fortunately, VWUSA bought it back (NJ inspections would fail) and I realized I actually came out to break even on a car.
I never forgot the Bosch experience. I’ll keep the beltsander but that too, will stop working and be replaced with a standing model that isn’t Bosch.

We had a 2004 Passat with the coil pack issue. Getting the coil packs replaced was painful not because of Bosch, but because of the way VW or our dealership handled it. They would only replace the single coil pack that failed. Which meant waiting for the other 3 to individually fail, which meant 4 separate visits to replace what was probably a total of $100 worth of parts.

I saw the non-Bosch cases quietly pop up over at Ohio Power Tool about a month ago. Said to ship within days so probably not inventory on-hand.

wow, yeah. that’s an understatement. and for other curious like me, 531€ is equal to $638.
fora comparison, the similar packout 3-unit retail price is $350. currently on sale at this moment for $270.

for over double the price, i can’t even entertain the concept without a lot of documentation that the functionality and storage space is drastically improved over the packout.
don’t get me wrong, i definitely like the more subdued bosch colors over milwaukee’s “steal me red”, or klein’s “take me orange”. but that feature alone is not worth double the price.

You can’t use the exchange rate to convert euro, or UK, prices to US prices. Stuff is a lot higher over there for some reason??? Some times vendors over there also include the ~20% VAT (sales) tax in the prices which explains some of the difference but not close to all of it.

EU prices typically say “excluding VAT” or list prices both with and without.

In my experience, everything retail, brick and mortar or online; within EU is listed VAT included.
Unless perhaps for some vendors who do loads of sales and shipping outside of the EU.

If you look at the launch period pricing screen capture shown above, it specifically says “excluding VAT,” albeit in fine print.

EUR 531 for a 3-piece set makes Packout look inexpensive. Ouch.

Might not make that of a difference just unless otherwise stated it normally means with tax.
Besides that products are sometimes differently priced for different markets.
Since VW was already brought up you could have saved thousands if you bought a new VW in some other EU countries instead of Germany back in the day.
So before Bosch announces an official US price I would not think too much about that price.

Wonder how long until the drawer units are available in the U.S.? The design is more appealing than the Milwaukee Packout that has so much wasted space.

I have so many LBOXXes but this makes me want more. One reason I settled on Bosch 12V and 18V years ago was the stuff didn’t break the bank. I hope this doesn’t change that.
That said, if these aren’t compatible with the current LBOXXes I’ll probably skit it.
