Bosch RS7 Reciprocating Saw

Over at Woot, they’ve got a slew of Bosch RS7 corded 11A reciprocating saws that they’re selling for just $75. Shipping is a flat $5 per order, and you can buy up to 3 of these bad boys.

The promo ends at 9am CT on October 21st, 2014, unless supplies run out sooner.

The RS7 features an 11 amp motor, tool-free blade change mechanism, ergonomic and soft-grip handle, a variable speed trigger, dual LED worklights, and a stroke length of 1-1/8″.

I checked Amazon and Home Depot, where the saw is selling for $99, and most reviews are overwhelmingly positive.

Seems to me that $80 shipped is a good deal for this saw. What do you think?

BTW – I got a couple of emails that there is a Bosch Promo going on for $50 off $200 at both CPO and International Tools. Others may also be participating but the deal seemed like it might be good – but I only compared one price $179.99 (with free shipping) for a MRP23EVS router:

Man, I’ve been in the market for a new recip saw. My dad gave me his 40 year old Craftsman a few years ago….While free is NICE, and all, it often struggles, given its 3.6 amps of awesome power!

Then this comes along, just as we’re in the middle of selling our house, and purchasing a fixer…Which would seem like great timing…except, now, we can’t AFFORD to buy it!

Great find on the price. Woot has some great things show up from time to time.

Definitely continue to post great gear deals!

Never buy a recipricating saw unless it has orbital action, it makes a big differance when cutting wood. Porter cable has a 8.5 amp orbital that is a beast and will outcut this bosch even though it has less amps for the same price or less.
