The Makita leaf blower is awesome. I picked up a kit late July last time Amazon had a deal at $200.

I also recommend the Makita Blower, even though I paid $320 instead of $200. Two neighbors have homeowner oriented gas blowers and have asked me about my blower. Hands down, it smokes them. Plus for the other 9 months of the year, it hangs on the wall and I use the two 5.0ah batteries with my other Makita tools. Their blowers sit in the garage stinking up the place and leaking every time a kid knocks it over.

Comparing your 2 neighbors gas blowers isn’t a fair assessment of gas blowers. Gas blowers have there place and it just depends on what your need is. Lots of factors that you can consider before going gas or cordless.

Black and Decker blower vac back to regular pricing. Put it into my cart, was looking through reviews and it changed pricing back to regular in those 5-10 minutes. $53-$60

Sears has the higher end model (variable speed instead of 2 speed) for $50 right now under Craftsman badges. As far as I can tell, it’s just a rebadged B&D BV6600. Great little vac (don’t use the blower function).

We’ve used line voltage Toros for years. Hate gas blower noise levels.
But recently I bought the latest model M18 Milwaukee leaf blower at HD for $99 (bare tool) and am amazed by its power. Looks kinda cool too. Nearly the power of the Toros.
But we only use it to blow debris and leaves off asphalt and concrete areas.
5Ah (only) batteries last over one per session. So far. Maybe in the upcoming rainy winter season we’ll need to use more per use. Who knows?
