Craftsman 8pc Combination Wrench Set, $10

Craftsman 8pc Combination Wrench Set

A couple of years ago I purchased a Craftsman 9-piece raised panel combination wrench set for $20. All I went to the local Sears to buy were 11/32″ and 7/16″ wrenches, but the 9pc set’s sale price appealed to me. It offered additional sizes I might need down the road, for just a little more money than what the two wrenches would cost.

There’s a reason these sets are highlighted this time of year – they make for great gifts. Everybody I know has started out with Craftsman raised panel wrenches. They do come in handy, even for users whose toolboxes also house more premium full polish and ratcheting wrenches.

These 8pc sets leave out the largest size included in the 9pc sets (3/4″ and 16mm), and don’t come with any type of plastic wrench holder or organizer.

8pc Inch Wrench Set (1/4, 5/16, 11/32, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8 inch)
8pc Metric Wrench Set (6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 mm)

These wrenches are good to keep around, even if you just need a set of beater wrenches to abuse. Come to think of it, I could use another set for personal use since I never replaced the wrenches I wrapped in pink paracord as part of a Secret Santa gift two years ago.

I need these. I feel ashamed to still be using my Big Orange chinese combo wrenches.

BUYER BEWARE! These are made in China. You can check the thread at Garage journal. Lobster Claw head and all.

The ones at any particular store might be Chinese made or might be USA made. Our local store still had a lot of USA made sets on the shelf. Won’t know unless you look.
