Deal of the Day: Craftsman Ball Bearing Storage Combo

Craftsman Limited Edition White Dry Erase Ball Bearing Combo

A reader sent in a tip about today’s Woot deal of the day, which prices a Craftsman ball bearing tool storage combo at just $350. Shipping is a flat $5, making the deal even better.

The ball bearing storage combo is the limited edition with dry erase finish that we wrote about back in March. The price of the combo is currently $560 on Sears, plus $70 shipping.

$560 for this combo, which includes a 4-drawer top chest and 4-drawer rolling cabinet, is just too much, in my opinion. $350 on the other hand, seems about right.

My guess is that Craftsman was having trouble selling these in stores, and so now that Father’s Day is behind us they’ve partnered with Woot to sell excess units. This shouldn’t have been unexpected, as the dry erase finish came with a hefty premium.

Regardless of why the deal’s on Woot, it’s a solid performing tool storage combo with a snazzy white finish at a good price.

Buy Now(via Woot) EXPIRED!

Woot is an Amazon company that offers one main deal per day. This deal will expire at 1am ET 6/25/2013, unless supplies run out sooner.

Thanks to Corey for the heads-up about the deal!

Damn– missed it. These would have been handy in the lab, I’ve got some money to spend before the fiscal year ends, and the price was *finally* reasonable.

Time to break out the spray gun and see if dry-erase finish will work as a DIY project.
