Craftsman Premium Grade Ratchets

The new Craftsman Premium Ratchets that we recently reviewed are currently on sale at Sears for the first time. Each ratchet is being discounted by $10, and the SEARS2011 coupon code takes an additional $5 off $50 orders.

Also, there seems to be a free shipping promo valid today throguh 2/22/11. Use code USA on “mailable” orders $99+.

Previously, the only time I’ve ever seen these ratchets go on sale was during a “friends & family” type 10%-off everything sale.

Craftsman Premium Grade Ratchets via Sears:
1/4″ Drive | 3/8″ Drive | 1/2″ Drive

Has the 3/8 been discontinued ? Tried to order and order was canceled by Sears.

That’s odd. I highly doubt that the 3/8″ version has been discontinued. Right now it still shows to be available for shipping with no in-store availability.

I would think that either supplies are running low due to high sales, or it could be that existing stock has been recalled for a quality control check/reevaluation.

On the GarageJournal forum, a few people mentioned an issue with their 3/8″ ratchets, similar to what I encountered with a bad sample during review. Danaher/Craftsman did implement a new process check a few months ago, so new stock shouldn’t be affected.

Or it could be that supplies are on the way to local stores, temporarily depleting warehouse inventory.

You could try placing another order for the 3/8″ drive ratchet. If it still doesn’t work, call customer service to see what they can do for you.

Bob, it looks like the sale has expired, I’m seeing the full prices as well.
