As the title says, I feel that this Dewalt cordless power tool at Home Depot is both amazing and extremely unusual.
Buy the Dewalt FlexVolt starter kit, with fast charger and 9Ah battery, and you can choose from several free tool options, including the brand new Dewalt Atomic multi-head cordless drill.
New releases like this versatile drill/driver are very rarely included in free tool promos at Home Depot and elsewhere. That alone makes it an amazing and unusual deal.

Beyond that this is an unusual pairing, for a Dewalt 20V Max Atomic compact cordless drill to be paired with a high output 9Ah battery.

In product images, Dewalt shows off the DCD803 multi-head drill with a compact 2Ah battery.
It’s only available as a bare tool right now. If there was a kit, given the tool’s premium nature, I would expect it to be paired with a compact PowerStack battery, or maybe the 4Ah PowerPack.
A 9Ah battery seems ill-fitting. But you know what? It fits.
That said, this looks to be a very good value if you were looking to buy a new FlexVolt battery, which is compatible with Dewalt 20V Max and 60V Max tools, and the new Atomic drill/driver.
Not yet a Dewalt 20V Max cordless power tool user? You can of course use the Atomic cordless drill with the 9Ah battery. The battery will power other Dewalt 20V Max tools, and the charger can work with any other Dewalt 20V Max (or FlexVolt) batteries you might buy.

You buy the starter kit for $329, and get the Atomic multi-head cordless drill for free.
Home Depot has the Atomic drill for $249 right now. Acme Tools has it for $229.
While I’m surprised to see such a combination, and that there are any promos for that tool at all right now, I think this deal is a great bargain for what you get.
Thank you to Big Richard for the heads-up!

Stuart, take a look at your last sentence, “ and there are any promos…”
Stuart
Thanks! *fixed* – oops, was missing a word.
Robert
I wonder if they left the pairings to AI and the DCD803 slipped through.
Stuart
No. These deals – and the inventory levels necessary to fulfill them – are carefully planned months ahead of time.

BTW the “Buy at Home Depot” link take me (at least) to the bare drill tool at $249. I had to search on Dewalt Starter Kit to find this deal.
Perhaps it is careful consideration by the people making these deals. The other 3 free tool choices are Flexvolt tools: Circ Saw, Recipient Saw, and angle grinder. So those fit well. But I guess Dewalt was not generous enough to have the Flexvolt Worm drive circ saw as one of the free tools. Maybe to keep with the premier level of those flexvolts this multi-head Atomic drill was thrown in. More choice is good. But the DCD803 is an awkward fit with this 9AH 60V battery, the battery is considerably heavier than the tool, and having that bulky a battery attached negates the main attraction of this tool, being nimble to use in tight spaces.

If you don’t see the option to add the “main item” from the product page, look for a “view full product details” button to click. I don’t know why Home Depot does this.
The starter kit was in the adjacent “more free tool options” link, which I’ve since renamed.
I added the direct link first because you can view the deal from there, and also the inventory count.

Stuart –
“… which is compatible ***with*** Dewalt 20V Max and 60V Max tools, and the new Atomic drill/driver.”
