Dewalt has 3 different drill but sets for Black Friday, all priced under $15. We’ll compare all 3 options below.
In prior years, multiple retailers all had the same Dewalt drill bit set at the same price. This year, possible due to tariffs or maybe a desire for differentiation, Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowe’s all have different drill bit specials.
If you’re wondering which to buy, I’d go the Amazon set, but there are reasons to consider the others.

It looks like all 3 sets feature jobber length twist drill bits with Dewalt’s black and gold finish and a split point tip.
Dewalt Drill Bit Deal at Amazon: 14pc Set

This 14pc set, DWA1184, has the broadest range and includes a 1/2″ drill bit that comes in handy and is pricey to buy in its own.
Sizes, from the product image, include: 1/16″, 5/64″, 3/32″, 7/64″, (2) 1/8″, 9/64″, 5/32″, 3/16″, 7/32″, 1/4″, 5/16″, 3/8″, 1/2″.
Price: $12.99
Dewalt Drill Bit Deal at Home Depot: 15pc Set

This 15pc set, DWA1195, is a little different compared to the 14pc set sold at Amazon.
Sizes, from the product image, include: 1/16″, 5/64″, 3/32″, 7/64″, (2) 1/8″, 9/64″, 5/32″, 5/32″, (2) 3/16″, (2) 1/4″, 5/16″, 3/8″.

Compared to the Amazon set, you gain 5/32″ but lose 7/32″, and you gain duplicate 3/16″ and 1/4″ sizes but lose the 1/2″.
Price: $12.97
Dewalt Drill Bit Deal at Lowe’s: 14pc Set

This 14pc set, DWAMDB14SET, also makes some substitutions.
Sizes, from the product image, include: 1/16″, 3/32″, 7/64″, (2) 1/8″, 9/64″, 5/32″, (2) 3/16″, 7/32″, (2) 1/4″, 5/16″, 3/8″.
Compared to the Amazon set, you lose 5/64″ and 1/2″ but gain duplicate 3/16″ and 1/4″ sizes.
I first spotted this new drill bit set in May, and it still looks to be a Lowe’s exclusive.
Price: $10.98
Why buy the Amazon deal? You get the broadest range of sizes, including 1/2″.
Why buy the Home Depot deal? If you think you’ll need the extra 3/16″ and 1/4″ sizes in place of the 1/2″.
Why buy the Lowe’s deal? You lose the 1/2″ drill bit, but they also shave a little off of the price.
None of these sets are priced as low as the typical 14pc set sold for a year ago, but they’re still good values for what you get. With all three sets giving you slightly different sizes, it’s just a question of determine which one best suits your needs.
As mentioned, I think the Dewalt drill bit set at Amazon is the best bargain right now.

a little “offer” the price
I’d agree on the half inch as that’s a more convenient than you’d expect size (unless you have hole saws or augers around).
I never know which bits I’m going to use and break so the duplicates always confuse me.
Stuart
Thanks! Fixed the error.
I tend use the half inch mostly for drywall anchors. There’s no easy substitute for that.
Nathan
Wow how big an anchor? I rarely use my 1/2 so I don’t know most diy needs one. But when you need it you need it
3/16 and the 1/4 are some common screw pre drill. Like 8 and 10 maybe. I know I use them a lot and I break one occasionally but most often when I knock the drill over.
Less bit similar pricing is how I see it but still a decent starter set

The sheetrock anchors with spring loaded steel wings probably need a 1/2″ hole.
Personally I use 1/4″ hex shank jobber bits for construction and rarely anything bigger than 1/4″.
Stuart
Toggle bolts such as Toggler Snaptoggle via Amazon.
They’re not wall plugs, but form a T-shape on the inner side of the drywall.

Your final Lowe’s link for the 21-piece set 404s.
Stuart
Oops. Thank you! *fixed*

Don’t sleep on the larger “44-piece” set for sale at Homey D. It’s more ($35) than the value sets that are always for sale each year, but it comes with more standard bits, a pretty full set of impact drill bits, brad points, a random mini toughcase, and a medium toughcase that has slots on both sides for the Dewalt bit holders (unlike the medium case you can buy empty for like $8).
I bought one for work to hold more drill bits and a full compliment of countersinks and I’m not mad about it.

Thanks! I added it to the post.

I bought the 14pc last year I think for 9.98 from HD as a back-up. Was using it this past weekend for a quick job – it was easier to grab than unpacking the good set. Somewhat underwhelmed by the consistency of the performance. The smaller bits worked fairly well whereas the 5/8″ really had a hard time getting started and continuing. Same piece of wood, same drill, freshly charge 18v batt. Definitely a starter kit only.
