Dewalt Cordless Hammer Drill and Tough System Tool Box Combo

Over at Amazon, there are 2 notable tool deals of the day.

First, there’s a Dewalt 20V Max cordless hammer drill kit and Tough System tool box bundle. The hammer drill is their 1st-gen brushed motor DCD785C2 20V Max hammer drill kit, and the tool box is the new DS130 “suitcase” style box.

Price: $150 for the bundle

Deal ends at 3am ET 2/18/17, unless supplies run out sooner.

Should you buy one? Well, have you been meaning to buy a compact hammer drill?

The drill has grown a little long in the tooth, although I still have lots of praise for Dewalt’s 20V Max tool geometries and ergonomics. The included batteries are 1.5Ah compact packs.

It’s not a super hot deal, but looks decent.

Fluke Deal of the Day Options Feb 2017

The second deal is on 2 Fluke meters – a Fluke 174 True RMS multimeter, and a 323 True RMS clamp meter.

I haven’t used either of these models, but I have a deep fondness for Fluke tools. The prices look good, so it comes down to whether these models offer the features you might have been looking for in a test meter.

As with the Dewalt deal, the sale ends 2/18/17 at 3am ET, unless supplies run out sooner.

I’ve been using the Fluke 323 meter for about 6 months now, does everything I want it to do. Only addition I want is a backlit display and a flashlight like my old Klein meter,

Been using a UEi DL389 TRMS. Really like it. Has a backlit display, light and more. Figured that since Fluke is made in China now why not have a look at something else and found this. Really like it. The first Fluke I bought years ago was made in Germany and is still going strong.
