A couple of readers wrote in about how they were disappointed Home Depot’s tier-1 “free tool promo” starter kit sold out. Good news – it’s back in stock!
Home Depot’s website reports that there were 228 starter sets ready to ship, at least for my zip.
Update: The inventory count is rising! It looks like Home Depot just got a replenishment shipment in, but it might not last long once word gets out!

Wow, they actually had the deep cut band saw as a free add-on but they’ve since sold out!

Keep checking. I was able to add the band saw separately and then the starter bundle to my cart but it seems the band saw is sold out right now. It adjusted the price down too so I was out the door $196 after taxes.
Ended up selling the bandsaw for $150 and getting the starter kit for $46.

I picked up the Jig Saw with this deal a few weeks back! I wish they would bundle the Barrel Grip version as well instead of only offering the D Handle but it’s still a great deal and a great saw!

Lowes has the barrel grip as a free add on with the purchase of a DCB204-2 for $149, but they have been out of stock. Shame, because it is a wicked good deal.

I’ve been trying to keep things condensed, but I know a lot of people were frustrated this deal sold out early. It’s great that Home Depot added availability counts. If it’s accurate, they sold thousands of these sets today nationwide.
