Dewalt Tough System Large Case

Dewalt’s Tough System cases have been scarce since their release last Fall. We’re not sure if this is due to distribution hiccups or quick sales, but we think it’s the latter since we receive emails about these cases on a weekly basis.

It looks like Amazon has received a new shipment of the Large structural foam tool boxes, which are priced as expected at about $55. Availability will probably improve with time, but we don’t expected the price to drop lower than this.

The large cases come with a removable vertical hand tool holder and tool tray, and are perfectly sized to hold project supplies and several power tools. The small cases are also available but for an extra $10.

We’ve been testing these cases, and based on our experience, we think that Tough System is an inappropriate name. More fitting would be Super Tough Indestructible Waterproof Fort Knox Tool Cases.

That is great and I see the small one is available as well but without the cart it is pretty pointless don’t you think?

While the cart is definitely a great product itself, and is great for transporting several cases, the cases can be used individually as well. There’s something to be said about a Pelican-like tool box that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Nope, these are NOT made in China! They’re made in Israel, presumably at the former ZAG facility that also makes this Stanley 25 compartment organizer and Stanley structural foam tool boxes. I’m not sure about the cart, though.
