Unlike Dewalt’s other occasional oscillating multi-tool kits, this is the premium no-compromise kit version.

The Dewalt cordless oscillating multi-tool kit comes with the DCS356 XR series 3-speed brushless oscillating tool, a 2Ah battery, charger, kit bag, a sanding pad with starter selection of abrasive sheets, a couple of cutting blades, an adjustable depth guide that can be a pain to source separately from parts lists, and an accessory case.
$119 is a fantastic price for what you get. This deal tends to pop up a handful of times every year, typically for limited time Prime Day or Black Friday sales, and from what I have seen it always sells out.
If you’re firmly on the fence, my advice is to buy it, and think it over afterwards. You should be able to cancel the order or send it back if you have buyer’s remorse, but you’re not going to have much of a choice if it sells out while you’re thinking it over.
And yes, this deal usually does sell out. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Update 7/9/25: Amazon has ENDED this deal after just 1 day. Check back, as they might change their mind and bring it back (but I doubt it). The not quite as good but lower priced $99 deal is still available.
Compared to the $99 Kit
Shown here is the DCS356C1 kit (regularly a $99 promo) on the left, and DCS356D1 kit (on sale now) on the right. The $20 difference gets you a better battery, extra accessories, the removable depth guide, and a nice accessory case.

The Atomic-series tool kit, DCS354D1, is regularly a $99 promo and starts you off with minimal accessories. The better-equipped kit featured in the Prime Day deal has the XR tool with 3 speed settings plus a variable speed switch, compared to the Atomic version which has a single speed range and variable speed switch.
This is why I consider the DCS356D1 to be the no-compromise and best Dewalt cordless oscillating multi-tool kit.
This kit goes on sale regularly – mainly during a flash sale or two on Amazon around Black Friday, and then again for Amazon Prime Day.
It’s a great buy. Think it over, but think fast.

YES!!
For comparison, Home Depot and Lowe’s are selling the same kit for $201 right now.
The minimal starter kits are regularly $99 for many months at a time. Dewalt saves this much better-featured $119 kit option for special sales and occasions, such as Prime Day.
This is the best cordless oscillating multi-tool deal right now, not just for Dewalt but in my opinion any pro-grade brand.

Thanks Stuart! I gave my previous Dewalt Multitool with kit and stuff to a friend needing it. I wanted the 3-speed as trying to hold tool and massage trigger to not go too fast on something was nerve wracking. Then noticing here, there was a 3-speed model…

After waiting up for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Prime Day deals to kick off, this is always the first tool deal I search for. Everything then gets put on hold while I get the alert written up.
Compared to the typical $99 no-frills promo kit, you get so much more for a $20 bump up in price.
