Over at Bolty.net there’s a pretty good review of Doc Allen’s VersaTool. The VersaTool is a very compact stainless steel drive tool which can handle 1/4″ sockets and 1/4″ hex shank insert bits with an included adapter. It looks to be great for on-the-go tool kits and the review over at Bolty confirms that it performs as good as it looks.
Update: Unfortunately all of the links are defunct, and have been removed. As of January 2023, the VersaTool looks to be long-discontinued. I’ll try to find a modern alternative.

This thing is pretty handy. I have one in my motorbike toolkit too. Added a few 1/4″ sockets, and took out what I can’t use. Nice and light, yet still very effective.

This looks like a very handy tool for a dirt bike or ATV. Sad to hear they aren’t around anymore. But I think someone could make their own version of this pretty easily if they wanted to, with minimal effort: It looks like the key part of this tool is the special loop-handled 1/4 square driver. I bet that could be approximated by picking up a 1/4-drive T-handle and replacing the tommy bar with a carabiner. The square-to-hex adapter and the extension are common accessories.
