Flex has announced their new Track-Lock wall-type storage system at SEMA 2025. From the looks of it, Flex is aiming to appeal to garage users and maybe auto detailers.
The Flex Track-Lock system is advertised as being “next-level storage” that offers tool-less quick-clamp mounting and easy adjustments.
Flex also says: “no guesswork: mounts on walls with standard 16″ stud spacing.”

Isn’t that just like every other wall storage system on the market today?

They give a single SKU, FSM1502-10, presumably for the 10pc set. Looking online, there’s also a power tool hanger rack, FS1521.
Flex didn’t provide any information regarding how or where any of this will be sold.

It looks like one retailer, Autogeek, has a preorder deal where you can buy the Flex Track-Lock starter kit with a tool rack for $180 and get a free Flex cordless drill kit along with it.
Given that the Flex Stack Pack modular tool box system is no longer available at my local Lowe’s stores, it’s doubtful that the new wall storage system will be available there.
I don’t see what’s “next level” about another proprietary garage wall storage system, but it’s good to see Flex hasn’t given up yet.

Flex Track-Lock is expected to start shipping in March 2026.

I’m curious about the “no guesswork: mounts on walls with standard 16″ stud spacing.” portion of their system.
Because a lot of construction anymore is favoring 24″ spacing due to cost reasons. My 1976-built garage is entirely 24” on center.
Which could definitely complicate the system far more.

It looks like the pre-formed mounting holes are 4″ on center. Therefore, it would work on 24″ o.c. framing just as easily.

I believe in many locations uninhabited space can be 24 inch center. But after 12 or so there started to be a requirement for entire houses to be 16 spacing. My current house built in 13 is this way.
But that might also be state to state too.

That’ll be state/local if someone hasn’t told you wrong. There has been a general trend towards thicker walls, for higher R value insulation, and 24″ O.C. for less thermal bridging. That and 6″ or thicker 24″ O.C. is gonna be at least as strong as a traditional 2 by 4 16″ O.C. wall.

If it also fits 24” O.C., Flex should say “no guesswork: mounts on walls with either standard 16″ stud spacing or 24” stud spacing.

We installed a Rubbermaid fast track system 4-5 years ago and it’s been great. I went with this over Gladiator because, at the time, they had a great deal on a few bundles and the accessories were less expensive. I’ve moved things around a few times, so the modular aspect is essential to me. The support rails have tons of holes so you should be able to hit studs regardless of spacing.
