SpeedHex FlipOut Cordless Screwdriver Bonus Kit

The new Flipout driver has dropped in price, from $50 to $25 at Lowes. The Flipout driver has an adjustable head that can pivot almost any which way, and runs off of a built-in 8V Max Li-ion battery.

I bought one, tried it, and didn’t really like it. This isn’t something I would or could use everyday, as it’s a little finicky to adjust and it’s not as comfortable as pistol-grip drivers. I would recommend the Black & Decker Gyro as a better go-to budget cordless screwdriver for homeowners and casual DIYers.

But as a back-up tool for times when a regular pistol-grip drill or driver won’t fit, this makes for an okay right angle driver. It can also be used inline and in other directions, which helps its case.

This is a hard sell for $50, but $25 is a little easier to justify.

The sale price is online only, but might be available in stores as well. If you order online, you get the bonus bundle that includes an extra 20-piece bit set.

Buy Now(Bonus Kit via Lowes)

According to the product page, the $25 price is valid thru 12/1/2014, so this just might be a Cyber Monday deal.

This thing will be under $10 after the holidays when they are clearing out all the other junk that didn’t sell, no point paying $50 or even $25 unless you want Lowe’s to hold on to your money and will get a refund for the difference later.

I purchased one of these Flipouts as well and It’s in the mail. I still love my Black & Decker Gyro, thanks to you Stuart.

I use the Flipout Driver, and find more and more places where it’s better than other drivers. The weak link is the plastic LED light Battery Door. Like other Reviewers I’ve had problems with it popping off. Aside from the light, the driver works well. Used it with some furniture builds, and the right angle was great to lock some of the assembly pieces,

I just purchased one at Lowe’s yesterday and they chargered me $49.99 for it. I told the casher that I thought it was only $25.00. I got charged $49.00. So I guess I’ll take it back. I sure was wanting to try one.

if anyone still wants one of these, Menards has it for $20 regular, on sale $13. Check online for store availability or about $6 shipping. I think it’s a closeout.

I have this tool but have misplaced the charger. I found another that fit like a glove and the red light went on as soon as I hooked it up but after a day, nothing would work. Do I have to order a new charger? As far as use, there doesn’t seem to be a need to replace the battery. Can you give me a clue? Thank you, Bonnie

I’m sorry, I don’t know the answer to this. You can try to contact the manufacturer, they still seem to be around.

You can try to contact the company to see what they recommend. Frankly, most tools like this aren’t designed to be repaired.

Does that mean that my screwdriver is dead ?

Most likely, but the manufacturer might be able to advise otherwise or assist you with a replacement.
