Save 25% on Select Gladiator Storage Products

Amazon Gladiator New Year Sale 2015

Over at Amazon, they’re ringing in the new year with a 25% discount on select Gladiator garage workshop and storage products.

Actually, right now a 25% discount is applied in cart, and the deals page says the discount is for 25%, but the banner I saw (copied above) and a mention on the product pages says the discount is for 20%.

Maybe the discount is 25% now, but will go back down to 20% soon. It’s really unclear as to what’s going on. Maybe the deal details changed and someone at Amazon forgot to make the change everywhere. Either way, the discount that’s applied at checkout is currently 25%, so let’s just assume it’s supposed to be 25%.

I am a big fan of Gladiator’s Geartrack storage rail products. Sadly, my current workspace doesn’t have the space for the same setup I had at the previous space, but I’m going to make sure my next workspace does. My now-disassembled 2×4 workbench also had a slide-out vertical shelf with two rows of Gladiator tracks that I always believed worked better than if I had used pegboard.

The discount works on a lot of Geartrack hooks and accessories, floor-standing GearBox cabinets, wall-mountable cabinets, floor tiles, ball bearing storage products, and even their adjustable height workbenches. If you’re considering a Gladiator workbench, also look at Craftsman’s new premium models.

I am strongly considering buying one of the 6-foot maple workbenches. Although I don’t need another workbench – or rather I don’t have the space for another workbench – it’s a hard deal to pass up.

Deal ends Jan 31st, 2015.

I bought a pair of GAGB272DRG rolling cabinets at the end of 2011 for $271.55 each with tax from Amazon. The price today is $334.30 which works out to be the same if I’d apply the 25% discount and add tax. I like them very much – but had a back-and-forth delivery and return issue – with pretty severe damage to the doors – until Amazon finally shipped me ones via a delivery company – rather than UPS/FedEx. I’m not sure the issue was with the delivery folks as much as flimsy packaging for such a heavy item. You would think that Gladiator (a division of Whirlpool) would have known how to package to avoid damage – and maybe they’ve improved things. Other than this issue – when I finally got useable cabinets – I found that I liked them quite a bit.

I regret not buying the adjustable height table when it was on sale before Christmas at Sears for 1/2 price. Would have made a nice standing desk for my office.

This might not be ideal as a standing desk, as you finer adjustments are tricky and cannot really be made on the fly. A keyboard tray/arm, and monitor arm or adjustable stand would help create a more ideal combo that makes up for the lack of fine-tuning adjustability.

For whatever reason the discount does not seem to appear for me. I added several items to my cart and the prices were the same. I love this Gladiator stuff. My wife bought me the 6 foot Maple adjustable work bench and a few gearboxes for christmas.

I stand corrected. You have to “proceed to checkout” to see the discount.
