Casio has launched a new G-Shock deal for Black Friday 2025, featuring this black and gold-colored watch for just $60.
The watch, GD100GB-1, is a limited edition for this sales event, features a digital display with typical functions – world time, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms, LED backlight, and calendar display.
It also has a pressure and temperature sensor mounted to the 9 o’clock side.

They describe the watch as having an “energetic glossy gold on a characteristic rustic G-Shock all-black body” for “a gorgeous, cool design.” It looks alright to me, and you of course get G-Shock toughness and typical features.
The resin watch is water resistant to 200 meters, and the CR2025 battery is expected to last approximately 7 years.
I like G-Shocks for their durability – they make a good work watch in my opinion. I’m not sure this color scheme would be my first choice, but I do find the low price more appealing.

I bought a g-shock in college and abused it, including when training in the pool. When I enlisted, I took it to basic training and abused it, including throwing it at full force against a brick wall to demonstrate its toughness. I intentionally ran it over with an armored HMMWV’s run-flat tire on blacktop. It lasted me all through a deployment to Iraq. The only thing that ever damaged it was when I changed the battery, apparently neglected to fully seal it, wore it in a pool, and a little moisture messed with one of the digits.
I don’t know if every g-shock model is as tough as that one, but it was amazing.
