Home Depot has a whopper of a Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless power tool combo kit deal for their Black Friday 2025 deals. In this post I’ll analyze it as best I can.
Shown above is the Milwaukee 4-tool cordless combo kit with a Packout rolling box, model 3697-24PO. Several retailers have it as a $599 special promo price right now, and Home Depot has it at the same price plus you get an additional FORGE 8Ah battery for free.
Update: The deal SOLD OUT on 11/12, but was restocked in the early hours of 11/13. Keep checking back!

The combo kit gives you:
- M18 Fuel hammer drill
- M18 Fuel impact driver
- M18 Fuel 4-1/2″-5″ braking paddle switch angle grinder
- M18 Fuel Hackzall compact reciprocating saw
- 2x 5Ah batteries
- Standard charger
- Packout rolling tool box
- FREE M18 FORGE XC 8Ah battery (only at Home Depot from what I can see)
Is it a good buy for $599? YES! Or at least I’d say so.
At the time of this posting, Home Depot has the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 2-tool cordless hammer drill and impact driver kit for $399, plus you get a free tool with that as part of a separate Black Friday deal. Okay, so let’s say you pick the angle grinder. That gives you a 3-tool combo kit with 2x 5Ah batteries and a charger, for $399.
For $200 more than that, which is already a holiday season deal bundle, you get the M18 Fuel Hackzall reciprocating saw (sold separately for $199), Packout rolling tool box (sold separately for $169), and M18 FORGE tabless cell XC 8Ah battery (sold separately for $229).
In case you’re new to the Milwaukee M18 cordless power tool family, the M18 Fuel tools all feature brushless motors and the best features and performance you can find within the M18 system.
This looks to be a fantastic deal that gives you a lot of value for the money.

If need more tools than you get in the 4pc set, consider this deal:

This Milwaukee M18 Fuel 7-tool cordless power tool combo kit is back down to $849. It’s a recurring seasonal special buy, and always an unbeatable value.
For that price, you get a hammer drill, impact driver, circular saw, Sawzall reciprocating saw, angle grinder, impact wrench, flashlight, 2x 5Ah batteries, charger, and 2x tool bags.
As another alternative:
Buy a Milwaukee M18 Starter Kit, Get a FREE Tool – $199
Buy a Milwaukee M18 FUEL Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit, Get a FREE Tool – $399
If you start off with the 2-tool combo kit, you can get the same hammer drill, impact driver, and I believe the same angle grinder. Then you can get 2x of the starter kits, one with an M18 Fuel Sawzall reciprocating saw, and the other with an M18 circular saw, which is a downgrade compared to the M18 Fuel.
However, that brings you to $399 + $199 + $199, or $797, and you end up with a 6-tool kit with downgraded circular saw, no tool bags, no flashlight, but 3x chargers and 4x 6Ah batteries on top of the 2x that are already included in the 2-tool combo kit.
Or, to put it another way, $52 more for the 7-tool combo gets you the upgraded circular saw, flashlight, and tool bag, but also costs you 2x chargers and 4x 5Ah batteries on top of the price difference.

Home Depot also has a new M18 brushed tool combo kit this year, including 9 tools, 2 batteries, charger, and tool bag. This 9pc set is an online-only special buy for $649 right now.

Wow, that is a great deal. Home Depot has these under the radar deals. But they have a special of the day for the Dewalt 13” thickness planer W/ stand. That price is $859, seems like that was $599 not long ago?
Scott
The DW734 12 1/2″ DeWalt planer is probably what you’re thinking of. The DW735 and DW735X 13″ planers (the latter coming with indeed and outfeed table wings and extra set of straight knives) are that price.
Stuart
Home Depot has the Dewalt planer bundle for $859. It’s been $629 and $649 around Black Friday in the past (but not every year).
Last year just the DW735X planer was $599 for Black Friday.
HD recently had the planer package and mobile stand package for $699 – a month ago for Prime Day https://toolguyd.com/dewalt-prime-day-tool-deals-october-2025/ .
$859 doesn’t seem like a good price at all.
Jeff
I purchased the DW735X bundle with stand on 11/14/2024 for $629. I believe it was a “Daily Deal”.
Scott
That’s how they get you hooked on their PACKOUT system!
Stuart
Yes, and no. A lot of users just want a cordless power tool combo kit, and a convenient way to move it around.
Various power tool and storage bundles have been popular over the years. If you want to expand with more Packout tool storage products, you can. But, you don’t have to.
TomD
The packout’s nicer if you’re already in the stackables – the “real way” they get you is as the number of tools goes up the chance you need ALL of them goes down.
Still a darn good deal, and for Fuel.
(I still have a soft spot for those bags; unlikely to ever buy one separately but they’re darn good and strong.)

“Or, to put it another way, $52 more for the 7-tool combo gets you the upgraded circular saw, flashlight, and tool bag, but also costs you 2x chargers and 4x 5Ah batteries on top of the price difference.”
~$300 worth of batteries is worth a lot more than an upgraded skilsaw. The antique light and bag are filler with no value IMO. Using this combo with just two batteries is gonna suck.
I also found an option three. Buy the 2833-20 Fuel saw for $229 which comes with a free 8Ah Forge instead of one of the starter kits. Gets you a Fuel saw and a sidegrade from two old school batteries to one modern one with higher capacity.
Stuart
Yes, and no.
I’ve been gravitating away from 5Ah batteries. I have limited space, and with tools and batteries from multiple brands, 8Ah tabless batteries like FORGE and PowerPack hit the sweet spot with respect to power and performance as a go-to battery size. I have some compact batteries and also 12Ah batteries for longer runtime or higher power.
5Ah batteries are great. But some people might prefer starting off with a better cordless circular saw.
I discuss all of the notable deals I can find, and provide as much context as I can, because everyone’s needs and wants are very different.
The deal you found – the M18 Fuel 6-1/2″ circular saw does look to be a good deal. Today, there’s an even better price on the single-SKU bundle with a FORGE battery, $209 instead of $229.
Jim
I forgot to add in my comment that’s the two batteries in the charger 18 V for a cordless tool of your choice whether it’s a good deal or not for 199 bucks
Stuart
Such as here: https://toolguyd.com/home-depot-free-tool-deals-holiday-2025/ ? Yes, I consider those to be very good deals, where you buy the starter kit and get a tool of your choice.
Patrick
I have been watching for the M12 Fuel surge for awhile. Has anyone seen that go on sale anywhere for the holidays? Seems like that one is never discounted.
Stuart
Your best bet would be HD’s deals of the day or independent retailers’ coupon offers. The SURGE is never a main Black Friday promo.
Daniel
I wanted the M12 surge for a very long time and waited for a deal. Watched prices for two years and never really found one. I did’t mind waiting because I have other impact drivers.
Then I had a deck rebuild project and thought…. I’ve got over 1000 screws to put in. If I don’t buy it now, it won’t make sense to buy it after.
I did end up with a deal thought. I got the 2 – 2ah batteries and M12 Surge for $179 (normal price 13 months ago for the kit.) It came bundled with I the brushed M12 oscillating tool for free. I didn’t really need the oscillating tool and could have returned it with The Home Depot Hack and got the surge kit for $125, but I opted to keep it.
Those 1000 screws went in like a breeze and without hearing protection. 😀
The M12 Surge has become my go to impact driver. Good torque, speed and much quieter. I even use it to bore some holes from time to time.
I see the normal price for that kit is $199 now. 🙁

FYI Acme Tools has a 15% off promo today that stacks with the 4 tool + packout set with the bonus Forge battery, brings it to $509. Really great deal at that price.
Stuart
Thanks! Their “unique code” promos are a headache, but that’s great to hear! When I checked previously, they weren’t offering the same promo, and it seemed to be exclusive to Home Depot.
