My local Home Depot store has reset their front-end displays, which now features grills and patio furniture.
To be fair, the temperature was -1°F about 2 weeks ago, and next week it’s expected going to hit 73°F.
Lowe’s has started promoting Halloween in the summer, and then Christmas decorations pop up in stores towards the end of September. Maybe it’s not too strange for Home Depot to have summer products up in the winter.

Why bring out the summer stuff in March, rather than April or May? That’s not a complaint – I find retail cycles to be curious and interesting.
It’s gloomy outside. Salt on the pavement, snow still piled up, temps are still cold and biting. It was kind of nice to walk in and see patio furniture and different grills, rather than more snow clearing gear.
We’ll probably see the seasonal tool area reset soon with lawncare tools for the spring. Right now it’s still full of leftover holiday season tools, storage, and accessories.

This is the one early season push I can always get behind–bring on Spring!

Grills and such have been out in my area for a couple of weeks. They were setting up patio furniture displays when it was -5

Not a fan of seasonal creep but it’s not like there’s anything else to display until the summer holidays kick off.

The annoying part of it is that sometime in January it becomes nearly impossible to find the snow equipment and gear, everything is already clearanced out!
Hope you don’t need a snow shovel in Feb or March!

Out here in the north west we barely had winter and now the plants are flowering out. So it feels like spring even moreso than our traditional “false spring”.

My local home Depots have been doing resets on their OPE sections in prep for summer and it looks like they are clearancing out a bunch of Makita XGT Outdoor Tools. Likely no longer going to be sold in store.

Costco too. Spring planting supplies are in the seasonal section.
