Milwaukee Dewalt and Other Tool Deals of the Day at Home Depot 1-13-25

If you’re in for a good tool deal then… you should have done your shopping a month or two ago, over the holiday deals season.

But if you didn’t or your needs changed, Home Depot has new tool deals of the day, plus Pro deals of the week.

Home Depot’s tool deals of the day features a mix of Dewalt, Milwaukee, Ryobi, and a few misc other brands.

I’m seeing a MULE rolling fan and LED power strip tool caddy included in the deals list, the Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless abrasive chop-saw kit, and M18 Fuel cordless air compressor with a FORGE 8Ah battery.

There are some other new-looking tool deals, plus some bundles that look to be leftover from the holiday season.

As usual, I think it’s worth taking a quick look through the list for bargains.

There are also a bunch of PRO tool deals of the week that include Milwaukee cordless power tools, hand tools, mechanics tools, and accessories.

Lowe’s also has tool deals of the day – a Metabo HPT MultiVolt cordless coil nailer kit, Craftsman and Dewalt power tool accessories, Kobalt air compressor that was sold out before 6am ET, and Metabo HPT 50ft PU air hose.

Shopping around elsewhere, I see that KC Tool has a dual-blade locking utility knife as their deal of the day for 1/13/26.

Those “Kobalt Water Pump and Pliers Wrench Mini plier set 3 – Pack” pliers that were talked about here a few weeks back as “Knipex inspired” are down to $14.96 post holidays.

I wanted to check out that M18 Fuel Air Compressor w/8Ah battery when “Home Depot AI Apron Assistant popped up on my screen”. Well, more like slid across the bottom. Great. Just Great and creepy.

I was also looking at the DWS779 vs the DWS780 Miter saws. When I get my shop back up, I think the 780 is better. However, its $120 more…for LED shadow light, lighter weight and supports on sides. I used to have an Hitachi 12″ compound slider but it was so heavy (+70lbs…which is like the DWS779) and I believe inaccurate from shipping issue, that I don’t want a heavy miter saw again. I did use the smaller, cordless Dewalt 7 1/4″ and was impressed…because you can do trim work onsite in the room and take it to next room. And through a sacrificial blade on and cut up scraps for kindling.

That 7-1/4″ Dewalt cordless miter saw is actually quite impressive. I bought mine for one specific job, I didn’t really have high expectations for it, I just needed it for that one project because it was small. But now that I have it, I use it all the time, it’s remarkably capable despite its size. With a nonferrous blade it works well on all sorts of other materials too–aluminum, brass, plastic…

Something to consider about the 779/780 is that you can add the light, etc, from the 780 to the 779. If money is tight you can always buy the 779 now and then add the light and other accessories later. Most of the parts are identical between the two saws.

The shadow cut line of the 780 is definitely worth the extra money. The big downside to the 780 for workshop use is that it needs a ton of room from front to back. With the dust bag installed on the back it takes up 52″ of depth.

The Milwaukee AIR-TIP buy more/save more (10% off 2, 25% off 3) is tempting. I love the idea of shop vac attachments – only have the ones that came with my 2019. BF Ridgid vac – but get decision paralysis at all of the options.

Anybody have feedback on which attachments are worthwhile/where you have found them valuable? I use the shop vac most often for cleaning vehicle interiors and cleaning up the basement (tons of dust, getting cobwebs out of the floor joists overhead, etc). And of course sucking water when that becomes necessary, most often from the basement floor.

I got the Air-Tip long-reach flexible micro-hose to use for cleaning the lint trap on my clothes dryers. It’s been handy for that purpose, and I expect it will be great for detailing the interior of my cars, especially cleaning around the center console and front seats.

For my Ridgid “6 hp” rated shop vacuum, a couple of the smaller hose attachments in that kit are too small and restrictive, which causes the motor to bog down.

I also have the Dust Collector attachment, which is great for drilling holes in finished walls to hang shelves, window curtains, photos, etc.

The dust collector does leave a small trapezoidal “handprint” of dust on the wall where it gets sucked to the wall, however, a damp paper towel makes short work to clean that up. It’s way easier to clean that “footprint” up than any of the other dust collection methods I’ve tried, so well worth the 30 seconds that takes.

Thanks – I forgot I picked those long reach tubes up last year on post-holiday clearance. I’ve used them a couple of times, lint trap is a great additional use. Have only used them on the Ryobi bucket-vac and the M18 shop vac, those ones did not mind but could see the 6HP choking up.

Good call on that dust collector attachment, drywall dust is one of the wife’s pet peeves!

          Happy to help!

I also really like the look of some of the Ridgid NXT accessories – the ones with the replaceable brush/ bristle attachments in particular. I’ve got a couple of the regular brush attachments that are starting to get dirty / worn out. It would make me feel better to be able to replace the just brush bristles without needing to replace the whole thing

Not a deal of the day, but both Home Depot and Lowe’s have Dewalt’s 8 1/4″ table saw (DWE7485) bundled with the wheeled Aluminum Rolling Table Saw Stand (DW7440RS) for $399.

That’s great value for the money:
