Felo Ergonic Screwdriver KC Tool Fundraiser

Over at KC Tool, they’re running a pretty cool promo. On their end, they’re donating all the proceeds from this Felo Ergonic Phillips #2 screwdriver to Cultivate KC, a Kansas City non-profit that works to improve the city’s food scene.

On the customer side of things, you could buy a Felo Ergonic Phillips #2 screwdriver at the significantly discounted price of $5.

Looking around, this price is very, very good.

I really like Felo’s Ergonic screwdrivers, which feature not only a special rubberized handle shape, but a cushiony material. It’s a super-comfortable screwdriver with a strong and durable tip.

I own a set of Felo screwdrivers, and although they’re not used as regularly as some of my more favored screwdrivers, I make sure that they’re easily accessible.

Felo Ergonic Screwdriver Packaging Box

The deal is so good that I ordered a bunch for friends, family, local contractors, and potential giveaways. After all, everyone can use a good Phillips #2 screwdriver.

KC Tool offers free shipping on $50+ orders.

The screwdriver is backordered at the moment (sorry, that’s probably my fault), but expected to ship out by August 28th, 2018.

The deal is good thru 8/31/2018.

Price: $5 (Free shipping on $50+)

(Don’t forget about our ToolGuyd coupon code for KC Tool. I didn’t use it on my order, because all I ordered were fundraiser screwdrivers, but the coupon gives you 10% off. Use TOOLGUYD4LIFE.)

I don’t know much about the KC Cultivate organization, other than what the product page mentions, but it seems like a good cause. But really, it was the discounted pricing on the screwdriver that caught my attention. $5 for an excellent made-in-Germany screwdriver? Yes, please!

Stuart, I live about 25 miles from KCTool and have bought there before. Good solid business. For those living close, do not expect a big showroom. They are predominantly online and wholesale. In fact, the last time I was there(they moved to a new location ayear or so ago) they had nothi g on display. But if you have their part number from online they will get you the item from stock. You have to pay sales tax but if you’re local itnsavesma lot on shipping.

KC Cultivate seems to be an interesting effort to reshape local farming into a culture of farm to table. From what I have seen locally on the newe, they are a legit organisation.

I like KCTool, but their prices are generally only competitive when the item is on sale. I often can’t find things I really want that are both on sale and total more than their $50 free shipping minimum, and I end up buying elsewhere and saving money.

They also sell on amazon and I commonly see them list the same item on amazon with prime shipping included for a lower price than they list on their website (with extra cost for shipping).

I have some of these Felo Ergonic screwdrivers, which I have bought based on Stuart’s reviews on this site. They really are like nothing else out there. I love the feel of the handles.

Felo are an enigma as far as I can see. They have really good products which always seem to do well at trade shows but day to day are invisible. I have spoken to their UK distributors and am given the impression as with some other German companies that they are happy to be a niche player and not compete with Wera and Wiha. Their screwdriver bits are a cut above most others but the range and availability are negative points in that only a small part of their range is available here and you have to go find them. Is it the same in the USA?

It is hit and miss. KCTool and chadstoolbox.com are both German centric tool dealers and wholesalers. So you can typically find them there. As for what most people would think of as regular retsilers? They wouldn’t have a clue what you were asking them for. Neither would most tradesman. It is simply not known here. Wiha is well known and Knipex has made huge inroads into the industrial and commercial construction and maintenance.

Some confusion for me! I am thinking KCTools is the US version of http://www.kctools.com.au who I have known about for many years.

When you wrote ‘German made’ I am thinking “huh!”

    I learn something new everyday.

As a commercial electrcian I’ve been using Felo screwdrivers for years. Likely the only one on the jobsite with them. Felo offers several different “series” of drivers. All seem to be nice, solid screwdrivers with precise tips and are comfortable to use. In addition to the ergonic type mentioned I really like the Felo 550 series drivers. Especially for large demo drivers. Amazon has a very large selection at very competitive prices.

Felo is the most underappreciated brands in the tool industry. These are my favorite screwdrivers and I have about 30 different brands(mostly sets and not counting Chinese screwdrivers) of screwdrivers. Gedore is pretty close but the Felo grip is absolutely amazing, the harder you turn the tighter your grip of the screwdriver.
