Klein Tools Limited Edition Blackout Utility Knife Deal at Lowes for 2025

Lowe’s has a new exclusive limited edition Klein Tools blackout utility knife, model 44303BLK.

Not only is the black handle a welcome change from Klein’s usual orange, you also save money compared to the standard version.

The regular Klein folding utility knife with blade storage is priced at $15.98 right now. This one is $14.98. It looks cool, has the same features and functions, and you save $1.

It features a quick release button, two open locking positions, strap cutting slot, lanyard or tether loop, and built-in storage for 5 spare blades.

Apparently it’s already sold out at my local store, but luckily it’s available online.

Price: $14.98

Klein recently came out with a couple of other blacked-out tools (also see New Klein Limited Edition Multi-Bit Screwdriver). Here’s the full list:

  • Klein blackout utility knife (discussed above)
  • Klein blackout 11-in-1 multi-bit screwdriver
  • Klein blackout 2pc screwdriver set
  • Klein blackout wire stripper

I wasn’t planning on it, but I’m in for one, especially since I was able to order from my chair and get free shipping. Anyone else?

I was in HD recently on a whim to get a … utility knife. I had to cut some boxes up in a storage unit and you know, you forget as you drive halfway there and DOh!

20 different utility knives at HD. So likely same at Lowes now. Prices from $7 to $25. Some store blades. Some fold. Some need a tool to store blade. Some don’t.

I go to self-checkout and it flags me for clerk and ID age verification! (clerk laughs and sympathizes..yeah..sharps, spray paints and something else – I missed that last one).
Thankful the packaging didn’t need another knife to open! (I got a Milwaukee fold because it was a $1 less then Stanley and Dewalt and $1 more then Husky in a blister pack).

This Klein looks nice. I wish they had a Utility Knife and Tape measure bundle because … you can never not have enough knives and tape measures!

Update: so I don’t know why Lowes does this but I ordered 2 of these Kleins and it will ship to me. But I added a tape measure and its now ready for pickup (less the knives) when I wanted them ALL shipped. Having separate ship and pickup with pickup locally as default is annoying as f0ck.

Pretty much every order fulfillment impression I’ve had with them for the last several years. Might just be a pattern?

I absolutely hate the “you have to triple check everything after adding anything to cart” they make you play, and c’mon, if I have twelve shipping items, just assume the 13th is shipping, too.

The something else might be super glue. I got a flag at the self checkout at Walmart the other day when buying threadlock along with a few other items. I seriously asked the person that had to see my ID why and he said “you know.”. I seriously did not know and had to look up online why. The reason is a sad “what has this world become.”

Nevermind! Lowes cancelled the Klein order.
And now I’m in Lowes hell because I don’t want another item in the order and doing this over a smartphone…smarts.
