Lowe’s has launched a new Kobalt 24V cordless blower, KHB2524-06, which they describe as the “ultimate car drying machine.”
The new Kobalt cordless blower delivers up to 270 CFM air volume and 130 MPH air speed in a drill-like package, similar to the blowers previously launched by Makita and more recently Milwaukee.
Unlike those other compact blowers, this looks designed as a mini leaf blower in a cordless drill form factor.

Lowe’s says the new Kobalt brushless blower delivers up to 90 minutes of runtime on a single battery charge.

They also show it off with extension tubes and being used as a leaf blower.
The new blower does look interesting, although I’m skeptical about how practical it is. The “ultimate car drying machine.” We’ll see.
Price: $89 (tool-only)

Frankly, I love the form factor of compact blowers for used in the workshop, but very much prefer the form factor of Milwaukee’s M12 cordless blower (and of course the power and form factor of larger models) for outdoor cleaning tasks.
At the time of this posting, Milwaukee dealers have a promo where you get a discount and bonus battery.

You’re burying the lede here a bit.
The new batteries Kobalt has coming (shown in the picture) feature bi-directional USB-C. Kobalt has launched a host of USB-C chargers. It appears as though most new tools will include these batteries. They also have a line of 28v (2x24v) OPE coming.

Makes sense why I just saw all those mowers on clearance at Lowe’s. Some super good deals on trimmers and blowers too up to 75% off

Yes, saw that too! https://toolguyd.com/kobalt-24v-power-tool-battery-usb-charging-2026/

I don’t believe it. My Dewalt DCBL722B was frustratingly slow to dry a vehicle. My newer DCBL777B is much more reasonable. I don’t see how a tiny drill-sized leafblower that moves 270 CFM air volume at 130 MPH air speed can be the “ultimate car drying machine”.

Ultimate car-drying is to leave the air where it is and move the car at 130 MPH.
