I came across new Kobalt 24V cordless power tool combo kit deals at Lowe’s, and was shocked as to how good they seem.
Lowe’s has kicked off the 2025 holiday shopping season with some welcome surprises!
Here’s the promo: buy a Kobalt brushless 4pc tool kit, and you get (2) free tools. There are two very similar deals to choose from.

This 4pc combo kit features a compact circular saw, sander, impact driver, and drill, for $249. It comes with a single battery and a charger.
Lowe’s packed the free tool gift selection with plenty of Kobalt 24V brushless tools for you to choose from, essentially allowing you to build up a 6-tool cordless power tool kit.
I’ve never seen a 4pc combo kit like this before, but it looks like a nice selection of tools, all with brushless motors.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this Kobalt 24V compact cordless circular saw before either.
There is always a risk that the price will drop as we get closer to Black Friday. However, this deal is said to end 1/7/26, which I think lowers the chances of that happening. Plus, “free tool” promos are rarely discounted further.
Looks like a fantastic deal to me. As for the surprising part, last year’s deal featured a different 4pc combo kit where you could only choose 1 free tool. With this deal you can choose 2.

Lowe’s has the Kobalt 2Ah battery for $20, and the 4Ah battery for $39. I’m not bothered that the combo kit only gives you one.
There’s a Kobalt Ultimate Output 4Ah battery in the free tool selection as well, and so you can build up a 5-tool and 2-battery kit if you’d like.
I found another Kobalt cordless power tool deal at Lowe’s, where you buy a different 24V combo kit and choose 2 free tools.
This looks very similar to last year’s Black Friday and holiday deal, but with 2 freebies instead of 1. That’s right, this deal is better than last year’s.
This Kobalt 24V 4pc combo kit comes with a cordless drill, impact driver, and reciprocating saw – all with brushless motors – plus an LED flashlight, battery, charger, and tool bag.
It looks like Lowe’s packed the free tool selection with the same assortment of Kobalt brushless power tools and some other accessories.
With this deal, it seems you trade the compact circular saw and sander from the other deal for a reciprocating saw, worklight, and tool bag.
Which deal do you think is the better buy?
At this time the free tool selection includes the compact circular saw, sander, and reciprocating saw. I think the first kit gives you the better value for the same money, but the second kit is a better choice if you want the worklight and tool bag, which aren’t available with the first tool kit option.

Even though that is incredible value for $249, I wonder what type of customer actually needs six new average-to-decent quality tools all at once?
It seems like a deal that you might buy as a gift for someone else, but probably not for yourself.

New homeowners, DIYers, woodworkers, makers, etc, often want a larger combo kit that can handle present and future needs. They might not know exactly what they need, and something like this provides better value and capabilities than a drill and impact driver kit.

At those prices, you might also get someone upgrading from old or mismatched tools to an all-in-one kit.

Kobalt has some great deals. I have been using that impact wrench daily at work and it has been great. I am feeling tempted even though I own a lot of these tools.
