Weekend Tool Deals Update 11-22-25

This is the final weekend before Thanksgiving, and it’s choc-full of Black Friday tool deals and special sales.

Acme Tools SECRET SAVINGS Sale

This is a weird one with secret unadvertised discounts. Add something to your cart from a selection of eligible tools, and you’ll see the secret sale price revealed in your shopping cart.

Amazon Black Friday Tool Deals – NEW Additions

Amazon added some new tool deals to their Black Friday sale. Some have already sold out, others I’m sure will still be at the same price a month from now, I think it’s worth a look.

I got around to categorizing the Amazon deals I found were interesting – see Amazon Black Friday Tool Deals 2025.

Home Depot Black Friday Tool Deals – still going strong

HD hasn’t added any new tool deals. This is around the time they have new “PRO” Black Friday deals, but I haven’t seen anything new in stores or advertised online. Still, they seem to have the best BF deals so far this season, it’s worth a look if you haven’t already.

I have the best HD deals sorted out here – Home Depot Black Friday 2025 Tool Deals.

Lowe’s Black Friday Tool Deals – nothing new here either

Lowe’s has some decent BF deals, but I’m not seeing anything new. They have some tool deals of the day for 11/22/25.

KC Tool – “Dark Grey Friday” Deals

They have some interesting deals, such as on the limited edition Knipex TwinGrip pliers.

KC Tool usually has a blanket coupon sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and I’m hoping to see it again this year. I’m hoping for the best and starting on my wishlist.

More Tool Deals Updates?

I have a couple more deal guides and roundups to work on.

Please let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see more of, get opinions on, or if you’d like me to organize things in a different way.

I’d like opinions on steam cleaners. Been debating whether I’d get use out of it. Thinking general household, car, etc cleaning. No idea on what brands/models are good. No idea on what’s a good deal.

I have a little Bissel green machine I think it is, and for the clearance price it was worth it.

Get one where the nozzle comes apart so you can clean it otherwise it can end up smelling and need replacing.

I bought this Bissell over 9 years ago: https://www.amazon.com/Bissell-Professional-Cleaner-Machine-86T3/dp/B00450U6CS/?tag=toolguyd-20

I don’t use it often, but when I do it does a good job.

For the big ones I prefer renting (as I can drag it from the store a block away) but the little one is nice for accidents and spills.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016HF5GK/?tag=toolguyd-20 is similar but I got an older one clearanced below 50 at Wally World.

Of course, to really clean you can’t compete with the truck-mounted systems.

I’ve tried a few of the commonly available ones (Karcher and the like from the Big Box stores) and they’re all useless for anything but very light cleaning. They also put out way too much water and make a mess. You’ll be disappointed unless your expectations are very low.

If you want one that works you need to get something that produces dry (superheated) steam, but those are very thin on the ground. I got a Soniclean Varro a few years back and it is a beast: blasts oil and dirt off engines and car parts like you wouldn’t believe. But I can’t recommend it now because for some reason it’s going for literally 5x what I paid for it in 2023. It’s crazy expensive now at $2200, no idea what’s up with that.

If you want it for more then cleaning carpets or upholstery take a look at McCulloch units. They don’t extract but they come with all kinds of attachments that can be used to clean grout, vinyl, plastic, or solid surfaces. Look up a guy called the Detail Geek on YouTube, he uses one of their models a lot in auto detailing- the results are often quite impressive!

Stay away from knock-off cheap no-name brands. If it doesn’t have a bunch of legitimate reviews, then I wouldn’t buy it. I’ve received several as gifts and they melt in short order.

The Milwaukee 10’ tape measure looks good. Not sure how I feel about a built in light. Might be a good idea.
All the reviews are for the 6’ version. Wouldn’t buy one less than 9’.

The light is on the wrong end imo. If it was at the tip of the blade it would help when trying to measure behind things, but as it is the light really only helps if you’re measuring in the dark.

Looks like the new one has a mechanical clutch which I like. The indicator lights on the bottom are now for battery level where the older version which I have the lights are for setting the torque variations which I am not a fan of. Other manufacturers seemed to be using the electronic torque control also like with Skils flip drill. I am not a fan of these newer electronic torque settings. They don’t seem to have the control from one setting to another.

I bought this machine 14 years ago for a daughter. I think she said that it got infrequent use – but was OK for tile floors:

    https://www.amazon.com/Steam-Cleaner-for-Floors-Kitchen/dp/B004XVM19A

Now- in our plumbing businesses we had industrial steam and hot water jetters (one was a towable trailer unit we’d lug around for sewer jetting) that got plenty of use on Black Friday’s. That was always one of our busiest days – as there is nothing like congealed turkey fat and giblet gravy for stopping up drain lines. Homeowners were not always the biggest offenders in this – with some restaurants calling us out on a regular basis.

Toolnut has a 2 pack of dewalt construction jacks for $159. FYI. It was a good enough price for me to order.

Any possible deals coming up on the new M18 Precision Blower? Just the bare tool is fine. Thanks!

*Maybe* a coupon code will work on it, but it’s too new and specialized to expect “special buy” deal pricing or similar. Maybe we’ll be surprised but I doubt it.

Lowe’s is clearing out certain lawn mowers — picked up a Tora for half-price (essentially got a free lawnmower paying for a batter and charger) — almost got the Kobalt, but decided I needed to prioritize time savings when cutting so as to justify the expense.
