I had an item in a Lee Valley cart for a few months now and the free shipping deal prompted me to finish the transaction. I ordered a large precision square. For some reasons a traditional 6×12 carpenters square is my go to item for measuring square and board thickness in my shop. My old one is dirty and rusty and its hard to see the fine 32nd markings. The new one will be a heritage tool hopefully.
I like these squares because they lay flat without a thick wooden or brass end.
