Lowe’s launched mini buckets in blue. Then pink buckets. Now they’re back at it with BPA-free food-grade plastic mini buckets in teal.
They doubled the price compared to the launch pricing of the blue bucket and are now bundling it with a lid.
According to the Lowe’s listing, this is a “limited edition color palette” for spring 2026. It’s “built to inspire.”

From holding paint brushes and pens to acting as a trendy party favor container, this mini bucket is as functional as it is stylish.
Lowe’s also says its:
An adorable and unique choice for seasonal gifting
The bucket has a 0.4 quart capacity (0.1 gallons).
At the time of this posting, it’s only available in stores.
Price: $2

Lowe’s has been hyping that they’re a destination for PROs, but everything they do these days, whether on social media (as shown above from February) or in stores seems to send a very different message.
Everything they’ve been doing seems very TikTok-trendy.
New mini bucket? Cool, I like the color, but it seems this kind of stuff is all they seem to be doing these days – aside from firing US-based workers (see Lowe’s Layoffs Said to Cut Hundreds of Jobs).

I rarely go into Lowe’s these days, but if I did, I’d pick one of these up. Even with it being twice as much as before.

They couldn’t even take a real product photo with it actually holding pens? That’s almost as bad as all the poorly photoshopped Amazon listings.

I’m afraid that we will need to become prepared for that sort of thing. Seems to me to be all about the money. Why should I pay a photographer when AI or a computer program can do it for a fraction of the time and cost?
But based on some of my bad experiences at my local Lowes – AI and a computer screen might be better than waiting on an inaccurate and unhelpful response from a sales associate if you can even track one down.

Speaking of miniature storage… I dunno where/what happened but where…is my Gearwrench Mini toolbox I ordered from Acme Tools… its like… the 11″ 2drawer is delayed. Atleast Acmetools updated me…back in January. Hmmm emoji

Lowe’s is weird. I tend to avoid the store in my town because it’s dirty, dingy, and dreary, and the staff is generally clueless and indifferent.
The Lowe’s in the neighboring town about 30 minutes away? Completely different story. It’s bright, clean, and cheerful, and the staff is knowledgeable and super helpful. I go there whenever I need a Lowe’s-specific product and I have the time.
In my mind this comes down to management, plain and simple. Store managers can’t do much about what corporate wants to market, but they probably have more influence on profitability than any of the trendy plastic-bucket corporate initiatives do.
