Lowe’s has new colorful Kobalt tools for Black Friday, and they seem to be great deals at reasonable pricing.
Kobalt has been known to launch special tools for Black Friday that were tacky and even horrendously designed.
With these new Black Friday deals at Lowe’s, there’s no gimmick, just value-priced Kobalt hand tools with new color options. Given some of the Kobalt “innovations” I’ve seen in the past, I was delighted to see what Lowe’s did this year!

They had Kobalt mini tool boxes in a range of colors – even more than what you can see here! I also found a couple of the newer mini tool chest bases.
You can find these in stores – you can’t miss it! – and also online (which I tend to prefer).

I liked the look of the new Kobalt mini lockback utility knife.
The blue looked best to me, but I also liked the green.
Lowe’s describes the green color as being hi-vis. While it does look easy to spot in a tool bag or on a workbench, I’ll just call it green for simplicity purposes.

I forgot to take a photo of the display, but I did note that my Lowe’s store also had Kobalt compact scissor 2-packs in all 3 colors.

I expect the multi-bit screwdrivers to sell well, and the pliers also looked like good values.

Offering the same tools in a couple of color options seems like the least gimmicky path they could have taken for Kobalt. I like the direction that Lowe’s went in this year.

I definitely need some more pliers, preferably two sets so there’s one set at the house and another in the truck at all times.
Whatever happened to the 1 and 2 gallon quiet tech air compressors I wonder? I was going to compare them with the Fortress ultra quiet compressors at Harbor Freight although the only difference was the warranty between the two brands I believe. If they no longer make the Kobalt quiet tech 1 and 2 gallon compressors I guess my mind is already made up for me then.

Sometimes products like that are ordered in batches, and it might have been put on hold due the tariffs. Or maybe a contract expired.
Things don’t always make sense when talking about private label brands sold exclusively at one retailer.
