Makita LCT400W 18V Cordless Tool Combo Kit

Over at Amazon, Makita’s 18V 4-tool combo kit, model LCT400W, is on sale for $199.97, today only. The kit features a compact drill driver, an impact driver, a jobsite radio, worklight, 2x compact lithium ion batteries, and a 15-minute charger.

The regular price for this kit is $320-330, so $200 is a heck of a good price.

Hot or Not?

Personally I think this is a very hot deal. The $200 sale price reflects savings of $120, or about 38%. The tools might not be the latest and greatest, but they’re tough, powerful, and reliable. A quick look at user reviews for the kit’s individual components shows that there are lots of fans and few critics.

$200-220 will usually get you a compact cordless drill and an impact driver. In this case you get both as well as a jobsite radio. I recently reviewed Makita’s newest jobsite radio and had great things to say about it. Its predecessor, included in this kit, earned praise for quite a few years.

You also get a Xenon worklight, which isn’t bad, but LED would have been preferred.

Yup, that was relatively quick. Maybe it’ll come back on sale later, but most likely Amazon will select another product for the rest of the day.
