Milwaukee M12 Fuel Stubby Impact Wrench and Starter Kit Deal for Cyber Monday Hero

So far, I think this Milwaukee M12 Fuel stubby impact wrench deal is my favorite Cyber Monday 2025 promo.

It features the relatively new M12 Fuel stubby impact with 3/8″ drive, which is incredibly powerful for its size, a High Output XC 5Ah battery – arguably the best and most powerful M12 battery – and a charger.

This is basically a complete tool kit.

Following are the currentprices for the same impact wrench but in tool-only format (2562-20) at different retailers.

Home Depot Price: $229
Acme Tools Price: $229 – 12% coupon = $201.52
Ohio Power Tools Price: $229

Home Depot’s Cyber Monday deal price for the tool plus the battery and charger? $159.

Buy it at Home Depot

The online-only deal ends at 3am ET 12/2/25 unless supplies sell out sooner.

I know this has been on some readers’ wishlists. Also, it’s around this time of year that I get notes and comments “my spouse/partner is mad about all the great deals I’ve bought, and I blamed you (ToolGuyd).” Well, I thought I’d make things easier for you. Should you buy it? Is it a good deal? I’ll let the image at the top of the page answer that.

There was a similar deal last year, but there was no reason to expect the same this year. Last year’s deal featured the same impact and an XC 4Ah battery plus a charger for $155, and it sold out in the middle of the day.

Home Depot sold dozens of this impact wrench bundle deal in the time it took me to write up the post. In other words, if you’re interested or even on the fence, BUY IT, and think it over later. It’s usually easier to return or cancel an order than to decide to buy one after it’s no longer available.

If you missed the deal or are looking for something else, there are a lot more Milwaukee cordless power tools going on right now.

The problem is I don’t really need this at the moment. So next month when I inevitably find a project that needs it, I’ll have to pay full price!

Talk you into it: It looks like Home Depot sold another 200+ kits between when I published the post and you posted this comment. You have some time to think about it before the decision is made for you.

Talk you out of it: If you don’t need it, then you’re wasting $159 you could be saving or spending elsewhere. If you need it next month and there are no promos, the kit is $289 at Home Depot, and the impact by itself is $229.

The difference between $229 and $159 is $70. So, is it better to spend $159 extra right now on something you might not need, or an extra $70 (at the least depending on whether you already have a battery and charger) for something that you have a definite need for?

You’re not saving any money if you don’t actually need the tool and it doesn’t bring you any benefits. However, if it’s something you do anticipate buying in the near future, you can save future-you money by buying today.

Remove “wow, it’s a great deal, but do I need it?!” from the equation and think about things objectively without emotion.

This is a fantastic deal, and given the inventory numbers – 1291 at the time of this comment, I think there’s a good chance it will sell out like the similar deal did last year.

I was super tempted to buy ANOTHER one, even though I bought the 4ah with stubby last year – this deal was sweet!

If you’re on the fence with this one, get it. This really is the best deal on this item. Remember, you need the High Output XC 5.0 battery to get the full power available with this tool, and you usually you have to buy it separately.

The only thing I do not like is that they got rid of the dedicated mode select button. You now change it with the trigger (and neutral selector setting), which means it can be accidentally changed if you bump things.

If I didn’t already have half a dozen different impacts, I’d be really tempted by that for $159 lol.

I was looking at this the other day and was thinking there was no way I could justify replacing my current stubby, especially at the price of the bare tool…well this was enough of an incentive. Man what a great price. Thanks for the heads up! I also went ahead and finally got the high-torque deal you also posted, as well as the battery deal. Been watching those all year. Only thing I’ve yet to grab that I’d like to eventually pick up is the grease gun.

There have been more frequent M12 grease gun sales lately, but still not very many. Once every other month, and typically $129+. The $99 deal is a good one.

M18 is on special often with 5.0Ah, but my research says unless you’re a heavy equipment mechanic daily the M12 is very sufficient for most needs.

I didn’t even catch that the M12 was on sale. The M12 is all I really need, for the same reason you said. Thanks for the heads up!

I have the last gen and (and now this one too lol) it’s been a great impact for me. Excited to get and use this one. These tools really beat wrenching by hand, which I had done for many years. Sure beats the tools I had access to 30 years ago.

Home Depot raises my blood pressure.

Ordered the advertised buy one get one free 12v soldering iron. Ad shows that PLUS free battery.

Received 1 iron. Contacted them on line. They say, no it is not buy one get one free and they send my picture from web site showing that it is indeed buy one get one free PLUS free battery. I circled each part of the web site picture pointing that out

They basically told me, “tough luck”.

Think I will now return it and all the other stuff I bought from then this week.

With deals like that, you need to either add both items to your cart, or shop for the alternative listings (where available) where the items are bundled together. If you don’t have both items in your order, there’s nothing they can do except help you with the return.

I bought two kits just to sell off the impacts and get a couple free 5.0’s. I’m happy enough with my Dewalt extreme 12volt 3/8 and 1/2” impacts as well as my dewalt 12v sealed head, multi-anvil ratchet. I actually use a tons of MW m12 tools, but dewalt 12 is working for me for my automotive uses.

    They sold out the impact.
When I checked this afternoon they had more than 1,000 of them.
Sold more than 1k fo them in the last 4 hours – that’s impressive!

I snoozed, I lost. Now the question is do I still snag the impact sockets in case there’s another chance at the tool, because they’re a decent price as well? I have 1/2″ for my M18, and I’ve been fine using chrome 3/8″ for my M12 ratchet. If I buy the sockets but no 3/8″ impact it might be a waste, but if the impact comes back and the sockets aren’t on sale I’m back up the creek seeking a paddle…

I’m in the same boat, though now I’m eyeing the M18 3/8”… this is what I get for hesitating on the button with these deals.

My issue is the specs on the M18 (which I’m not seeing as a special buy right now) are remarkably so much worse than the M12 – I was drawn to a tool almost as powerful and much smaller than my 1/2″ but not so much for a negligible size/weight savings and considerably less power. That said it might work for you or someone else, I’m what a mechanic would derisively call a “parts installer” in that most of my mechanical work is limited to oil changes, brake jobs, and haphazardly throwing parts at a check engine code and crossing my fingers… I absolutely do not NEED this tool, Stuart just got me hyped on it.

About 120 were added late last night and I was still able to get in at 159 – by this morning the price was up $10 (still a good deal) but stock was down to less than 30 units. Not surprised it sold out again, but if you keep checking they may do another restock.

It’s a “deal of the week” as well, but the inventory count seemed low enough that I would have been very surprised if it lasted the full day.

I was able to grab 1 this morning (watched stock go from 1 to out as I tried to order to 80 then 83) after following the advice of I may not need it but I may not be able to get it for this price when I do.
