Home Depot has a tool deals of the day sales event today, 8/14/25.
There are some new tool deals, such as M18 Fuel miter saw and folding workstand bundles, and also many repeat deals that we just saw the other day.
The deals selection focused on Milwaukee M18 cordless power tools, and there are also some M12 tools and bundles mixed in.

One of the bundles is a lighting promo, with an M12 light and also the RedLithium USB neck light.
We were talking about the M18 Fuel router in another post’s comment section. Well, it’s back to $179 for the tool with a 5Ah battery (bring your own charger).
There’s always something new. With today’s deal, they have the M12 Fuel hammer drill with 2x batteries for $139, but also the seldom-seen M12 Fuel drill/driver with the same batteries for $119. Again, you’ll need your own charger with these bundles.
Home Depot also has some Dewalt tool deals today, but nothing worth highlighting.
If you’ve been meaning to try new work pants, the Milwaukee Freeflex tech pants are discounted by around $10 to $12 (depending on size), but only in black.

Interesting deal that I haven’t seen before and maybe isn’t too frequent are the M18 Metal Shears. Don’t have a current project for them, but who can resist that sale?
Been wanting to dip into the M12 platform but really don’t need a 4th set of drill/drivers or a ratchet set that overlaps with my M18 3/8 impact.
Hoping to see some “weirder” kits bundled in the future. I do like the Tool/Battery only combos as lord knows I have enough chargers at this point.

I feel that some of these deal alert posts are redundant, but this is the exact reason why I proceed anyway. There are always enough new and different additions to the deals of the day to be worth a check.
While at times it seems Home Depot is random about what they include in their deals of the day, that they always seem to squeeze in some “I was waiting for a deal on that!” and “I couldn’t resist the bargain!” promos suggests they know exactly what they’re doing.

HD has some surprising discounts on what I call the “propro” tools – things of little interest even to the prosumers.
The shears, the propex expander, the giant impact wrench; I’ve seen them all on very good discount.

The Milwaukee 2636-20 seems to get good reviews – but the one I bought in 2017 proved to be a dud for me. We had planned to use it to cut sheet metal roofing well under its supposed 14ga capacity. I also brought along my Kett KD-440 corded shears – but we were working up on the roof and I bought the Milwaukee just to avoid stringing extension cords. For us – it proved so slow as to be almost painful – so we switched over to the Kett and things speeded up markedly. Maybe I bought a dud – but too late to return it – so I gave it away. YMMV – but if you buy one it might be good to try it out while its still within the return window.

The M12 angle impact with two 3A batteries for $180 is excellent deal. That the normal price for the tool only. I recently got a the 3” sander with the two batteries . The two 3A batteries came in a clamshell. Seems like Milwaukee made a bunch of these. I wonder what the typical price for these batteries.

They normally run $120 but go on sale for $100 quite often.

Is Milwaukee trying to phase out the 3A batteries? I’ve seen a lot of them paired up with their m12 deals lately.

They and the CP1.5Ah have been sorta phased out for a while. They really only appear in holiday/special buy kind of stuff.
Pipeline is this Thursday, Aug 21st, we might see new Forge M12 batteries among other new stuff.

Of note, harbor freight has one of their “parking lot sales” this weekend, open to everyone. The overall discounts are quite good in my opinion.
40% off all socket sets, and all drill bits, 30% off electric winches and accessories, 35% off torque wrenches and elastic and rubber cords.
For me, it means that a 3500 pound steel cabled winch, with adding the $35 synthetic line kit, comes in under $100. The cheapest synthetic line 3500 pound winch on Amazon is $130-200.
I know a lot of people have issues with the stores history and chosen production location, but not everyone can afford tool truck pricing.
And honestly, I’ve been using their “colored sockets” every day as a mechanic for the past 2-1/2 years, with zero issues.
