Morris Heavy Duty Screwdriver Set

Morris Heavy Duty Screwdrivers

These Morris heavy duty screwdrivers are designed to tackle your most demanding manual fastening tasks. They feature a full-length continuous shaft, a robust striking end, and flats for when a wrench is needed to provide additional torque.

Square shafts provide added strength, and I think I would like how the striking ends are extended. With heavy duty drivers, you want the screwdriver shafts to extend all the way through the handle.

These screwdrivers are akin to Klein, Milwaukee, and Stanley heavy duty “demolition” drivers, but are designed a little differently.

Most brands’ heavy duty screwdrivers are built with beefed-up ends that are hidden within handles and capped with metal striking plates. Some have wrench flats or hexagonal bolsters, but at the front of the handle. With these drivers, the steel striking end is exposed, allowing for larger wrench flats at the back end. That does not necessarily make these better or worse, just different.

This 10pc set (54236) is priced at $40-65 via Amazon, industrial suppliers, and electrical supply houses. They’re aimed at electricians, but should work equally as well for other types of users.

Since I am not at all familiar with Morris tools, I gave them a quick call and was told that these drivers are made for them overseas. Imported or not, these look like decent heavy duty screwdrivers.

If anyone has experience with these screwdrivers or Morris tools in general, we would love to hear what you think about them!
