Milwaukee 48-22-2008 8-piece screwdriver set

Remember when we told you that Milwaukee was introducing new hand tools and promised that more were on the way? Well, they’ve now added an 8-piece screwdriver set (48-22-2008) to the new product lineup. This set will include 2 ECX bits (#1 &#2), 2 Phillips bits (#1 & #2), 2 slotted drivers (1/4″ & 5/16″), and 2 cabinet drivers (3/16″).

Do you notice that some of the screwdriver handles are notched? Those aren’t for decoration…

It looks like there are three different handle styles featured in the new set. Following their trend of making their hand tools as handy as possible, Milwaukee integrated a wire stripper and wire bending hole into the handles of their four Phillips and ECX screwdrivers. If you recall, Milwaukee’s ECX bits are designed for specialty fasteners common found at jobsites.

The two new slotted screwdrivers, on the other hand, instead have shock resistant steel caps meant to endure hammer strikes. Last are the two cabinet drivers, which feature standard looking conventional screwdriver handles.

Pricing and availability details are not yet available.
