Rockwell is soon releasing a new cordless SoniCrafter oscillating multi-tool to complement its hugely popular corded version. This new compact 12-volt lithium-ion powered Sonicrafter will be compatible with a broad range of Rockwell SoniCrafter accessories and boasts a charging time of 30 minutes.

Rockwell’s SoniCrafter is known for its versatility, and as with all oscillating tools of its design it can be used for complex tasks that may be difficult to accomplish by hand or with other power tools.

The cordless SoniCrafter is scheduled to be released this Spring, and will be available in a kit (RK2514K2) with battery and charger  for $170, or bundled in a 2-tool kit that includes a 12V drill/driver (#RK1002K2) and is priced at $200. The included battery will of course be compatible with the other 12-volt tools in Rockwell’s lineup.

These kits will be sold through Amazon, Rockwell’s direct store, and other online retailers.
