Porter Cable PCCK602L2 Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit

Over at Amazon’s, today deal of the day features a Porter Cable 20V Max cordless drill and impact driver combo kit. It comes with a PCC600 drill/driver, and a PCC640 impact driver – both good tools.

How do I put this nicely? These are Porter Cable’s non-cheapened versions of their standard drill and impact driver. The kit comes with (2) 1.5Ah battery packs, charger, and kit bag.

It’s on sale for $99, from $159.

This is a good drill and impact driver combo for $99. You can do a lot better if you spend more, but you’d be very hard pressed to find anything as good as these tools at anywhere near this price point.

Update: The drill and impact combo looks to be sold out.

Deal ends at 3am ET 11/22/17, unless supplies sell out sooner.

Their drill/driver kit, with 2 battery packs, is also on sale, for $85. But if you ask me, it’s worth it to spend $15 more to get the impact driver.

Unless they restock, the Porter Cable combo kit is over. The 3rd party sellers are the ones showing up now.

How does this set compare with the Porter Cable drill/driver set that is part of Lowe’s Black Friday deals? The Lowes one is priced at $99 so would have made this set a better deal?

This deal, now sold out, has a better drill, better impact, and higher capacity battery packs. The charger is also a dock, rather than a small attachments. Without actually checking, I’d guess it’s a much faster charger, too.

The Lowes deal is still good, but this one was better.

Bought this set 5-7 years ago for $99; never been disappointed. Good battery life (w/tool gauge, easier to monitor power left).
