Porter Cable Oscillating Multi-Tool Review

We’ve already mentioned this deal once or twice, but it’s worth repeating. Are you looking for an oscillating multi-tool this holiday season? If you don’t already own one, you might want to give it a try. These tools cut, they grind, they sand, and they do so with minimal effort.

This corded Porter Cable model is a great performer, and we feel that, with its tool-free blade change, it dominates its sub-$120 competitors. Right now it’s $105 on Amazon, but with the current $20 off $100+ Porter Cable promo, it’s practically a steal at $85.

Here’s our review of Porter Cable’s oscillating multi-tool in case you need a little more background info about its tool-free blade change or other features.

I had some detail sanding to do over the weekend so I ordered this last week from Amazon. I really like the quick change set up, so much better than trying to find the wrench to take off the bolt as I have to do with my Craftsman Nextec multi-tool. I also like the case the PC comes with, has room to store just about everything you need and comes with a nice collection of accessories.

That is an insane price. I’ve been looking to get a multi-tool like this for some time and this deal was too good to pass up. Thanks ToolGuyd for the awesome tip.

@Rob, I actually thought the case was the weakest part of the kit. I have trouble closing it at times.

@Don, You’re very welcome, glad to help!

Stuart, I will say I did have a bit of an issue closing the case but I liked how it had compartments for the attachments. Beats the case with the Nextec where everything gets thrown in one zipper pocket.

Hi Rob – I have just read your review which has convinced me that this is the tool which fits my requirements !
Only one problem – I can’t seem to find anyone in the UK who sells this multitool here .
Question – is it dual voltage 110/220 vac?
    Thanks in advance.
