Rockler and Bench Dog Pocket Hole Clamps

These Rockler and Bench Dog pocket hole clamps are designed to be used with 3/8″ pocket holes on 3/4″ boards, and help make part alignment quicker and easier. Simply use it to align adjoining segments, drive in a screw to lock things in, and then move to the next pocket hole grouping.

I have one and it works awesome but it only works on small boards. I have to force it on to work on 1×4 material. For most face frames that’s ok but sometimes you need a bigger opening.

I’ve decided to finally order one for myself. I’ve seen one or two DIY designs on the web that you might find useful for working on larger material.

Stuart, the first link does not seem to be functional anymore. Seems that Amazon has this item currently listed as unavailable as well. The last review is from 2011 so hard to say how long that has been the case with the second link.

Seems to be a very interesting idea though with this product.

Thanks for the update, and sorry about that! I removed the two broken links. The reason they no longer point anywhere is because Rockler has since come out with a new quick-release version of the clamp. It’s a couple of dollars more expensive, but the non-quick-release ones are still available under Bench Dog branding.

I bought either one or two of these clamps for testing and use but don’t even know where they are now. The slow release was a pain and the clamps didn’t really do anything that right angle clamps can’t do just as good.

I really should update this post further, but there’s still not much to be said.
